Great location, in need of a little TLC.

Hotel location is amazing, food is great also. Massive lack of information provided upon check in with regards to bars and restaurants, the app is out of date and opening times of places doesn’t match reality. Room as lovely but bathrooms are dated. Pools need touching up, just the small details let this place down.

Ac you couldn’t control, phone to front desk didn’t work, dual shower switch didn’t work. Caught someone in my room doing a “turn down” on the last night . No other nights did we have turn downs. Food was horrible. Buffett was good rest was garbage for a 4.5 star resort won’t be back or recommend. Restaurants were closed wit no notice. Restaurants menus changed daily with availability

Mala experiencia en este Secrets en comparación a otros visitados anteriormente. Considero que no me dieron la habitacion que reserve, mala atención en el check in, poca información proporcionada respecto al hotel. no hay señalamientos adecuados en las instaklaciones, elevador viejo y sucio. Nos enfermamos del estomago, por alimentos ???? los restaurantes lejos de las habitaciones. Lo unico muy bueno la playa del hotel. Creo que el hotel es viejo y requiere mucho mantenimiento o remodelación. Algunos del personal se porto amable pero en general mala servicio y mala cara.

I called ahead to let the Hotel know we were celebrating our 30 year anniversary, and they did absolutely nothing to recognize the celebration, we went to the “French restaurant” and was told it would be a 40 minute Wait, but if we spent $60 on a bottle of wine we could get in immediately, so we did…. The people behind us were seated immediately without have to spend any additional money?? The drinks were terrible and the food was very bland

Beach and pool chairs were all saved by 8 am with people not using them for hours at a time. First night restaurants were full with very long wait times. Our room staff was excellent. Overall this hotel is needs updating.

I have stayed at several other resorts in Cancun area and they were immaculate. We were disappointed as a whole with this resort and would not go back nor would we recommend family or friends. Food was ok for breakfast. I never went hungry but definitely not impressed. I would highly recommend walking off the property to the little taco shack just outside the gates (food and prices were great). We stayed as preferred guests but they were no help. The beer stock was limited and we had to taxi to town to purchase our own. Mixed drinks at resort were plentiful so no complaints there. Complaints: One of our rooms was missing a bathroom door, Sink clogged, toilet wouldn’t flush, room flooded because of air conditioner. But I will say the beach was beautiful and I appreciated having a swim up bar.

This is our 2nd time at this resort. The location is amazing and we loved the pier pickup for diving. The staff is friendly and attentive! I would suggest if your room has an odor request a new one immediately. The first few days it wasn’t bad, but halfway through the trip we noticed our room had a really unpleasant odor. To be fair to the resort we did not report it, and we spent most of our time at the beach not in our room. However on our flight home we noticed the clothes we were wearing smelled like the room. When we got home, all of our belongings were permeated with the unpleasant smell. We have been home 5 days and still cannot get the odor out—it especially lingers in spandex material, ie bathing suits and workout clothes. Our luggage has been sitting outside for 5 days in an attempt to air the smell out and after soaking our clothes in an odor removal solution for 24 hours and multiple washings, many of our clothing items still have the odor, and most likely will need to be replaced. It’s been impossible to get out of silicone—watch bands, AirPod cases, etc and we have had to replace them. So great trip but bummed about the effects the smell has had on our belongings.

Property is beautiful and most of the staff were amazing! Claudia who helped check us in, really stood out. She made sure we had everything we needed! She is definitely a 5 ⭐️ employee! Food was not the best. Poor showers also. We barely had any hot water.

We got a crappy room that was not remodeled yet it was bad smelly sewer smell they tried to out smell with incense the room was very run down .( make sure you request a newly remodeled room !) I finally got my voice heard and two days later we got moved to a way better room ! The pool tiling needs tons of work . While sitting soaking feet in water from swim out room plaster started falling on me . When I stood up to see what in the hell , there was a worker scrapping outside patio ceiling and just raking it off ! We have stayed here many years ago and remember that vacation as so fabulous… I would choose another hotel next time …

We were a little nervous after reading reviews prior to our trip but we had a wonderful time. The only caution I would have for anyone considering going to the Secrets is to understand what you will not be getting if you are not “preferred “. You are limited to certain restaurants and other things if you are not of preferred status. We chose the preferred status and everything was wonderful. Plenty of places to eat, drinks were good and overall everything was clean and in working order.
