This was a last minute, spur of the moment booking. We arrived at 4:50 (for a 3 p.m. check in), and our room was not ready (on a Wednesday). We were told there was no one in the bar to serve us anything, but we were permitted to sit in their screened in porch while we waited for our room, or we were free to go for dinner -- at 4:50... I went to check on our room at 5:30 and it was ready -- no one had let us know when it was ready. We were not offered anything to compensate us for having to wait -- not a free drink, not an extended check out time, not even really an apology. We were placed in a ground floor room, which was fine except that it is the same level as the pool, and it was extremely damp smelling. The screen door was broken, and I had to ask someone to fix it. I ordered the banana French toast for breakfast, and was told that they were out of bananas so there would be no sliced bananas on top. Again, nothing offered to make up for it. When you use the title of "resort" in your name, you expect a little bit more than what you would get at Grandma's Roadside Motel. The beach was lovely, the beds were comfortable, but I don't think it was worth what we paid for the room overall. I probably will not go back.
