Had a lovely stay up in the attic room. Great atmospheric pub. Just one small criticism. Need some sort of dressing table/shelves/storage for the bathroom. Had to put all our toiletries on the floor. Great hosts, felt really welcome and comfortable stay. Great Indian restaurant 10 minute walk away.

Checked out early after 1 night. A very old building so we understood it wasn't set up to deal with the extreme heatwave but very concerned with the access to the room. Extremely steep and winding stairs to our room with no handrail to assist and I worried how we would evacuate in case of emergency. Smokers gathered in the garden and smoke rose into our room. No staff on site overnight but all the garden lights left on so it was very difficult to sleep.
