The room we stayed at in the Mai Khao Marriot was fantastic. Imagine staying in a 2000+ ft style penthouse; equipped with 2 bed, 2+ baths, kitchen, and a washer/ dryer. As a bonus, there is a small but well organized / fun activities to drop off the kids. The staff was also super friendly and nice. Their is a convenience store and a quite yummy late night pizza restaurant (serving more than just pizzas) at turtle village nearby. The small downfall would be that it was a bit busy when we stayed (despite saying it was down season - July) and the shuttle. This "family" style Marriot shares its services (spa / beaches) w the not so close JW Marriot. It takes a shuttle bus to get there or a 20m walk. The shuttle at times took longer than 20m and sometimes was way to small to occupy all waiting guests. Overall, I do recommend the Mai Khao Marriot.

A great place for families who are looking for lots of space. The fact you get 2 bedrooms with a living room and kitchen is perfect

Amazing stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only problem is the distance to town / Patong area. Anyway there are ample activities in the resort to keep you occupied.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mai Khao. The apartments are really nice. Very spacious and modern. The pool and all facilities are excellent. The staff are so kind. We had our 92 year old Father with us and they were so helpful with the buggies helping us get to the numerous restaurants at the JW Marriott. We have stayed here before and will be back next year

My family and I loved our stay at this resort. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is excellent. Units are clean and comfortable. Washer/dryer in the unit. This resort is not right on the beach, but it is a short walk from it. Also, the hotel runs buggies every 15 minutes, if you do not want to walk. We would definitely come back.

Great hotel with lovely helpful staff who can't do enough to help you.

1. Mr Gee, Mr Pu, Ms Nadia, Ms Pia,Ms Pete, the house keeping, waiters at breakfast. Mr Gee is always concerned with how the guests are faring. Mr Pu like wise. Ms Nadia conducts fun fitness activites for the children and parents.. Ms Pete is friendly and always accomodating. There is a fire dancing show, numerous activies for children and family. There is small pond fishing for children, face painting, rock climbing, bicycles, If you have young children, thnis is a great resort to go to. I wouild recommend it to family and friends. 2. Some things that I would request for if i revisit. Marriott Vacation Club building is in a tropical area so there will be insects and mosquitos (sometimes) around. Upon check in , you will want to ask for incense and matches. If you were given a personal pool, be sure to have the pool filter working so its "cleaner". if there is a damp smell in the room, ask for a dehumidifier. There are convenient shuttle buses that ferry guets from the JW marriott club to Marriott vacation club. Guests will want to check out the sunset at the beach. When it gets dark, you can call for a buggy to pick you up, 1 improvement would be to have the buggy phone closer to a place that has better lighting becaus the path that leads back to marriott vacation club is quite dark after sunsent.

Overall very good. Nice spacious units and friendly staff. Areas of improvement would be the quality of the wifi, doesn't work welll from the 2nd bedroom.
