What a wonderful, clean, and authentic spot! The vibe is really friendly, intimate, comfortable, and safe. The host Reuben and other staff members genuinely care about your stay and do their best to make your experience memorable. Great breakfast, delicious coffee, thoughtful and deep conversations. Every night there’s an event going on, so you can have fun and meet other people. I learned salsa dancing and that my alter-ego was Tom Cruise! Location is perfect. The rooms and hostel itself aren’t extremely spacious, but after one night I realized there’s a charm in it: I felt grounded and cozy. If you’re really tall, you might hit someone’s legs from another bunk, but everyone is super relaxed and respectful. Must stay!

I've stayed at this hostel twice now and have had a wonderful experience each time. The room is really cute (I've booked the private room) and the staff are friendly. The hostel is in a convenient location - if you're driving, there is free street parking in the area. I absolutely will plan to visit again next time I'm in SD.
