Nice

Nice little B&B, nice owners and friendly. Not serving breakfast at the moment, but they do let you use the microwave. Do have an issue with the parking, only 3 spaces available or you park on the street or pay for car park overnight.

Cute, well kept and tidy. Parking on premises. Wonderful, friendly owners. If many rooms take a shower at the same time, water "goes away" for a couple of minutes (quite common in small B&B:s in the UK). 5-10 mins walk to Paignton Centre and Railway station.

10/10 from the Essex couple

Great location for what I needed, 2 mins from Paignton beach, and 10mins from Torquay harbour. Friendly couple greated us, breakfast was good and the rooms were clean. Will be back in June

rather cramped but adequate for 1 night. not expensive so, fair enough. We'll upgrade to more spacious and modern rooms for our next visit. Railway line is audible at night which we found soothing. cash only and payment on arrival terms might not suit everyone.

Quirky ensuite rooms with a modern TV room for use by everybody

I enjoyed my time in the deluxe family ensuite (1double and bunk beds) with two friends and although the bathroom was small, it still catered to our needs. The in-room fridge was very helpful especially int the hot weather and TV in the room was helpful when we needed to wind down in the evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast however one of my friends is vegan and with the set menu, she couldn’t have the majority of the meal so opted to self cater.

Very pleasant stay

Thanks -had a great weekend away -good breakfast to start the day -room was cosy & bathroom a bit restrictive as it encroached into the slope of the roof but this was not a major issue considering the price we paid. Service was pleasant & helpful -would definately book there again.

room was a bit small due to having table and chairs and a fridge in there but clean and tidy, very friendly landlady and close to lots of things to do, bit noisy because of seagulls if you have window open

3rd stay at the Bronte - great as usual

This was our 3rd stay at The Bronte and as usual we had a brilliant stay. The room we had was a good size, with everything we needed including a fan which came in very handy during the hot weather! The room was clean and the bathroom although small had a lovely shower. Paul and his wife were friendly and helpful as usual. The Bronte is situated 2-5 mins walk from Preston sands beach and a few mins more from Paignton Beach and pier, where there are plenty of places to eat and drink. Overall a great stay at a good price - I'm sure we will be back next year.

A good budget option

A nice friendly B&B in Paignton. A good budget option with parking outside for up to five cars. Breakfast was nicely cooked and served.

A good basic B&B with very kind and helpful staff.

A good basic B&B. Our room was small but had all the essentials - comfortable bed, chests of drawers and a mini fridge (something which I found useful but unusual for an hotel of this size). The en suite facilities were very small and the shower had a slightly strange habit of changing temperature whilst in use! One very useful and surprising asset at this venue was the internet connection and the pc available for use in the guest lounge together with a functioning printer.

Enkelt men ok, billigt!

Enkelt men ok för den låga kostnaden. Förvänta dig inte för mycket. Lugnt område, nära stranden, trevligt värdpar. Små rum, ok sängar, enkelt men fungerande badrum.

Nice homely b& b

Had a 3 night stay, nice clean comfortable room. Another review complained about small toilet and shower and the fact the sink was in bedroom,I thought the facilities were fine and while the bedroom sink may have been a little odd if it means the difference between a shared bathroom and ensuite I'll keep the sink! The owners were very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. We didn't have breakfast there but saw another guest eating and it looked nice. Guests had use of a fridge freezer, toaster and microwave in the dining room which I thought was a really good feature. There was a large sitting room for guests to use with TV,dvd player ,free Wi-Fi and use of a PC,also books and magazines to read. The location was good , quiet street just off Preston sands not far from all main attractions. We would be happy to stay here again as Paul and Gail have made a comfortable welcoming environment with lots of extras besides your room.

Home away from home

I stayed for 3 nights in March 2016 Friday-Monday. On arrival I was met by Paul the owner who checked me in quickly and showed me the facilities The Bronte has a very comfortable lounge with a large flat screen tv, hi fi and computer and a large selection of dvd's all for the use of guests. A nice touch is the guest fridge and microwave in the spacious breakfast room. The Bronte is happy for you to bring your own food into the building and consume on the premises. My room was at the top of the stairs and was a very pleasant large double room with en suite toilet and shower with a fully functioning extractor fan, and a sink unit was in the bedroom, all of which were very clean with two bath, one hand towel and a flannel. Tea and coffee etc were also in the room together with ample storage The Bronte's free WIFI was always strong and was quick and effortless to use. Each floor has it's own signal with the same password for all three.. In a word "Brilliant" Other establishments please note, such a simple idea and it works.... The bed was super comfy and the bedding clean, fresh and of a good quality. Breakfast in the mornings was was well cooked, and tasty.. The Bronte has free off street parking for 4/5 cars and during my stay I was always able to park easily. I would wholeheartedly recommend The Bronte in Paignton. Paul and Gail my hosts made me feel most welcome and next time I'm in Devon this is where I'll stay.
