Good for a rest

The staff was great, very friendly. We were happy to find Hotel Cayuga as we were passing through the area so we could rest. The rooms could use more counter space, somewhere to put luggage/purse/etc. There is no counter space. Rooms are snug but AC works great which is always good. There’s a small market right next door which is very handy.

BEWARE OF BED BUGS!!!

This Hotel does seem clean and the staff was professional and friendly however we found BED BUGS along the head rest of the bed. BED BUGS are a pest that travels from room to room and will follow you in your suitcase. Treatment lasts weeks and they have to fumigate the entire place. I urge you to pick another place or ask if they have fumigated and properly treated!!!

The hotel is good overall terms. Staff is kind, limited options for food, we ate at the hotel restaurant which was really good. The main parking is limited, but they have another 2nd parking about 200 meters from hotel. We didn’t like that room was too small, the bathroom was too tiny at least on the room we took.

This hotel is the only one to stay in if you have to go to Puntarenas. The town is rundown and dirty with nothing to offer. However this hotel was a life saver! Nice pool and modern with on site restaurant and bar. Small rooms though but manageable.

My husband and i stayed for 4 nights. The hotel staff especially the gentleman at the front desk was fantastic. We set up our tours and taxi's, it went flawless!! I have limited mobility so he made it so easy. Gave us great places to eat, helped us to find great aces to eat. Highly recommend.

Great stay, great staff, great price!

We chose this hotel for the location close to the ferry pier, the pool & the price! We were not disappointed! It was easy to get to, location was extremely convenient. There is a gas station at the corner & a mini-market next door. There is a parking garage that has access to the hotel, so need to drag your bags down the sidewalk. We loved the pool, cleanliness, and the staff was exceptional!

The hotel staff was amazing, and thank goodness, there was someone at the desk who spoke english. Better to stay here if you can speak spanish, but we did OK. Not many amenities in the room. The beach is only a few blocks away, but the water was very dirty while we were there. Pool was great, and there is always part of the pool that is in the shade no matter what time of the day. Nice hotel.

The property is located in a busy commercial part of town .There’s a lot of traffic on the street in front of the hotel. Our room faced the street and was quite noisy. I do not recommend the suite with a Jacuzzi instead op for a room facing the pool. There was no room service the second day, however a free breakfast was included.

We had a terrible night here. No blankets in the room but had to leave ac on or we roasted. Then some other guests decided to have a party in the courtyard from 11:30 to 3:30 am. Tried to call front desk (which is attached to the courtyard so they should have been able to hear them anyways) but no answer. Was told by morning front desk staff that there should have been someone there. Then first thing in the morning someone decided to swim at 6:30. Pool is closed from 8:45 pm to 8:45 am. Breakfast took about 50 minutes to make. I could overlook the cobwebs in the room corners full of bugs if not for all of that. Too bad because it is a beautiful hotel.

La estancia bien, el hotel es correcto dentro de lo que hay en la zona, una bonita piscina pero el desayuno muy malo, mala presentación, huevos fritos rotos con lo sencillo que es hacer un huevo, tostadas francesas quemadas por debajo con lo negro pegado y éramos 3 y a uno le pusieron menos fruta en el plato. Ese aspecto deberían mejorarlo y estaría mucho mejor.

Querían cobrar doble la reserva. Se solicitaron toallas dos veces ya que solo había una y no se obtuvo. Personal de la noche después de 10 pm poco amable,mal educado y con poco servicio al cliente. Servicio de desayuno terrible. Hay mejores opciones por el precio en la zona.

En general bien

El hotel en general está muy bonito. La piscina es muy agradable y grande. El restaurante y la comida 10/10. El servicio es excelente. Lo único no tan agradable es que las habitaciones no están del todo limpias. Encontramos botellas usadas tanto en la nevera como en la habitación. Los muebles estaban polvorientos. La suite no tiene ningún espacio donde guardar ropa y tampoco algún vaso para el baño, por ejemplo para tomar pastillas o algo así.
