We recently stayed here with our family and had a mixed experience. The staff was genuinely kind and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. Check-in being avaiable very late (we arrived at 1am) was especially convenient. The pool and outdoor area were plesant overall. That said, the condition of the room left a lot to be desired. While it appeared generally clean, if felt quite warn and in need to TLC. The bathroom was a standout concern - the tile and shower had been painted over, and there were noticeable chips of paint collecting in the drain. There was a kitchen, but no dishes or kitchen towels. Overall, the friendliness of the staff and some amenities were positives, but the room felt quite tired. Distance to the beach and board walk were another positive.

Very disorganized check-in process with long wait. The facility definitely seemed understaffed. The unit itself was pretty drab. Felt a bit like a jail cell or dorm room. View was obstructed. We didn’t even try swimming in the pools, which were spread out over the blocks and not near our unit as everything looked a bit run down. The only positive was the location— you can walk right out to the beach and it was nice to walk along the little strip— however it is very bar heavy and got a bit rowdy at night. Might be good for college kids, but definitely not somewhere I would ever stay again. Disappointing.

I didn’t end up staying at the Sunrise because the room wasn’t ready when I got there so they move me to their other property Casa Pellegrino Boutique Hotel which was ok with me. The room was clean & comfortable. The area very quite and one minute from the beach.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) – Friendly staff, but room type did not match booking I stayed one night after booking through Expedia and selected a suite, which was described as a larger room with additional sleeping space compared to the standard option. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and I truly appreciated being allowed to check in early. The room was clean and well maintained, which made the stay comfortable. However, the room I received did not appear to match the suite category I booked. The size and layout were consistent with a standard room rather than the larger option described at the time of booking. Overall, the experience was mixed: • Friendly and helpful staff • Clean room • Room type did not match what was reserved I recommend confirming the room category at check-in to ensure it aligns with the booking details. With better attention to this, the experience could be improved.

Parking is not listed that it’s $20 a day. It did have a prime location. It did have plenty of room. Being that it is so close to the beach the floor was filled with sand from the time we walked in.

It took 2 hours to check in, then the door got deactivated the next day had to go back and wait to get it reactivated. One way in and out the office and just not friendly. The manager was nice besides that not good. One good thing is very close to the beach and boardwalk the rest is a no for me

Deceptive photos. They bought all the old prostitute motels and rebranded them. I was placed on the street side in an unsafe location. The pool was nasty and the breakfast scene was trashy. Never again.

This place should not be on the Hotels.com application. False advertisement, rooms smelled smoky although it was suppose to be a 'smoke free' environment, this is false. We had 2 rooms, not ready, smoky, rude receptionist, sketchy cigerettes o the ground and uneven side walks, a trip disaster. This is the first time I've taken the time to do a review

24 hours prior to check in i was supposed to receive check in instructions. Never received them. I called to ensure they had my reservation and was told to come at anytime to check in. At check in my reserved room was unavailable. I was told not to worry, that i would get a better room at no extra charge. Someone came to help and asked me to pay the extra. I refused as this was not my fault. Finally we were able to get room. It was completely dirty, floors were disgusting, even the cabinets had layers of dust and dirt. The fridge did not work and there were no cups/plates/silverware in the entire place. We had 6 people in our room and they gave us a box with enough for 2 people. So we had to buy our own throw away plates/cups/silverware anyways. They were supposed to come change sheets and tidy up after 3 days and never did. I was very frustrated with the entire stay. Highlight, the continental breakfast was a nice touch as many places do not have it.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finding the place and where to check in wasn't easy. The immediate neighborhood is unsafe. Parking was horrible. Finally found the place and where to check in, VERY unsafe. Homeless people in front. People doing drugs RIGHT ON THE STREET in front of the unit, my children got to experience that. Went to look into checking in or cancel, other guests were inside complaining that someone JUST tried to break into their room WHILE THEY WERE IN IT!!! The guest were told that THEY needed to make a police report in order to view the security cameras. The guest next to them was broken into and had belongings stolen. My children experienced all of this, they were in tears and afraid to stay. We tried to cancel immediately, the hotel refused to cancel and issue a refund and said that I MADE EVERYTHING UP!! While inside trying to cancel at the front desk, we could hear the employee on the phone rejecting someone else's request for a cancellation and refund. I'm assuming this is how they're making their money, the place is a dump, you need the hotel's approval for the refund, they reject it and still get the money for your stay. Not sure of the high rating, maybe they're going off of the old owner's ratings. THIS PLACE IS A DUMP!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! We lost out on our money and it was just as expensive as a Marriott, we were fooled by the ratings!!
