Loved my 2 nights stay. Very comfortable and unique room - in the spirit of Barkerville. Conveniently in heart of town - no need to drive anywhere once there. Staff were so friendly and helpful and breakfast was perfect with option for tea and cookies during the day to take a break. A must stay when visiting Barkerville.

Feel like you are living in the late 1800’s!

Traveling with our friends from Ireland we had an amazing time at the St. George Hotel. Ria, the proprietor was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Decor takes one back to the late 1800’s and rooms well appointed. Just a note that some rooms have shared bathrooms. Would stay again and recommend highly.

Our stay at the St.George was absolutely amazing. The continental breakfast in the morning was above and beyond…and not your standard continental breakfast. Ria was warm , friendly and ensured our stay was comfortable. I will definitely be back for our next adventure to Barkerville.

This is a beautifully decorated hotel in the style of the era. Comfortable room and very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good also. This is a great place to stay at least 2 nights to get a good feel for the Baskerville of old.

The hotel is on the Main Street in the Barkerville site. You truly feel like you are living in a hotel from the late 1800’s. There is a balcony overlooking the Main Street. The continental breakfast was far beyond our expectations and included cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, baked goods and pancakes. The staff are very professional and friendly. We will definitely book at the St George’s again on our next visit. Ernie and Cindy

1860’s guest house. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is lovely (continental breakfast ). Very quiet with the sound of Williams Creek in the background.

This is a replica of a small late 1800s hotel. Our room was small and not all rooms have bathrooms attached (ours did). The experience of reliving that time was so much fun and yet you still have wifi. They offer a lovely breakfast and the place was very clean. Our lovely hostess Elizabeth answered all our questions and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Not really for people with mobility issues because of the stairs and the trek in from the parking lot with your luggage. Pack light.

Awesome. Proprietor was an amazing lady. Friendly and a great hostess with coffee and tea always available. 1800’s charm but with modern day convenience. Lol. Wonderful continental breakfast served every morning. If going to Barkerville this is the place to stay.

The best way to explore Barkerville. ‘Ms Benedixen’ is super welcoming, serves the best continental breakfast and is incredibly accommodating should you need anything during your stay that she can help with. Coffee/tea and biscuits are available all day and if you want a break from exploring the town you can sit in the private lobby away from other park guests. And you can even watch some of the shows from the hotel balcony. Given the age of the property we were surprised at how comfortable our stay was. We didn’t want to leave and hope to return one day despite the distance from Scotland!

Midden in de Historic site, voortreffelijke lobby met alles tot je beschikking, aardige ontvangst, goed ontbijt, verzorgd met allerhande lekkernijen, goed bed. Enige nadeel was de gehorigheid, maar dat kan je verwachten in zo een historische accommodatie, maar na 23h was alles perfect stil. Een andere verrassing was de gedeelde badkamer, omdat dat vooraf niet geheel duidelijk was bij reservatie. Maar achteraf goed verlopen.
