The photos told a much different story. Its clear a hard working family has purchased this run down property that looks like it had a really shady past and is trying to give it a facelift. Sadly, its still in surgery. The hot tub and pool were under construction, buzz saws were going when we arrived at 4 pm and the room itself felt like we were in purgatory. No rug, a steel bedframe with the cheapest mattress possible and spare decor. We noted that other people staying at the Aloha appeared to be the type of travelers you'd expect to encounter in a hostel.

I liked it a lot at first despite it was sketchy. The first room was so nice I asked about weekly rates: $375/$400 deposit. I pay for the first week, she moves me to a bare bones room with ONE lamp a 27" tv, and NO amenities! I accepted it since the price was right and I just needed a place to lay my head in the city.

The place is a bit run down outside. The hotel is not fully staffed, so when an issue arises like you need more towels or a plunger or something isn't working right, there's no one to contact. Otherwise it's ok to stay at. It's a bed with a roof over your head. The shower did have bodywash and shampoo. The room also has a fridge.

I pulled up and hoped to god I had address wrong. Dark parking lot and a worn down sign advertising daily rates. The common areas and exterior were dirty and worn down. Thankfully room was clean, but very basic. Never saw a single employee.

The outside of the building is a little worn down. The inside of our room was clean with fresh paint and clean plank flooring. This hotel is not fancy, however the beds were comfortable and clean! There is a non functional pool. But, once that is operational it will be a nice amenity. The staff was friendly and helpful. I appreciated the punch key locks for the room and outer door entrance. Nice feature.
