Location is the reason

The rooms are smaller, the beds great, but the reason to stay here is the location. You can walk to Times Square & Broadway or the very close to 2 subway stations. The staff is helpful and friendly; free breakfast in NYC is minimal $12-15/person.

The staff were fantastic and so accommodating. The room was clean, but dated. The carpet in the room has seen better days. The location is perfect for those wanting to be close to the action of Times Sq. The breakfast was solid for a continental. Besides the location and affordable price, the highlight for me was the extremely kind, helpful, and friendly staff.

Tired hotel with some positives

A well located hotel but the rooms are very tired and in some cases a bit grubby. Breakfast included is nice but literally just coffee and cereal or a bagel so not a huge draw. Many obvious amenities omitted from room- sugar and creamer for milk, do not disturb sign amongst a few. On the positive side, the location is good, the staff are friendly and the bed was super comfortable.

The hotel staff were extremely nice. The room needs updating (carpets replaced), the shower didnt drain, and the room couldnt keep the humidity out. First room i was given was also extremely loud - felt like the window to the street was open.

Very nice htel but I called to have the TV turned on after one hr. I went to the front desk. They promised to get I fixed. No one ever showed. When I mentioned it at checkout, they said sorry contact the manager.

Worst experience with hotels. First, they move my reservation to a totally different hotel with no reason.. my new hotel never switched over in Expedia so I had no clue about this new hotel. I had so many problems at the new hotel.. i did NOT recieve the same accommodations at all. Do not book with Hotel 46 becasue you run the risk of them moving you with no reason and do NOT book with The Manhattan Times Square. Awful hotel.

Good for tourists and day trippers

This was the first time I booked a hotel through an “app”. There were no problems checking in or out; the only payment required was the resort fee. I was surprised how small the room was, and the fact that the bathroom had only a shower, not a tub. We did get everything promised (coffee maker, tv, fridge, microwave, safe, hair dryer, iron and ironing board). The towels were quite thin. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioner worked well. The “grab and go” breakfast was adequate. The “fitness center “ consisted of a couple of elliptical machines. The “business center” consisted of two computers and a printer. Based upon the steps required to enter the building, the narrow hallways on the guest floors, the small room sizes, and the narrow bathroom door and small bathroom size, the hotel cannot be considered handicap accessible. I would recommend it for tourists who will spend the bulk of their time away from the hotel, and people like me who are just staying overnight.

Comfortable Enough

Great location - close to Times Square if you want to do tourist-type stuff. Easy to find, the building is understandably older and the bathroom was kinda rough but I felt safe and would stay here again. Came down with 10yo for her birthday.
