Roaches and broken blinds spoiled the stay.

We are not a fussy family at all, but were very dismayed due to seeing four (4) roaches running around our very first night in the unit. We stayed in the Manatee boat/lodge and also blinds on the windows were ALL broken and tattered. When we pointed out the issues, management offered, and did, move us to another unit the following day and mentioned they had blinds they could install to replace the broken ones. Quite disappointing and disturbing. There is no way they were unaware of the roach situation.

Underbar husbåt vi gärna kommer tillbaka till

Underbar husbåt. Mysigt att sitta ute på däck och äta på morgon och kväll samtidigt som vi tittade på fiskar, pelikaner och sjökor. Väldigt bra bemötande från receptionen, och så skönt att kunna tvätta lite kläder. Bra utrymme för hela familjen på fem personer (2 vuxna och 3 tonåringar). Bra städat och bra med utrustning i köket.

Look forward to our next stay.

Stayed a couple of days prior to our cruise. The boats were nice and we would most definitely stay there again. Could use some refreshing or deep cleaning some things were in need of repair, but dont let that deture you. It is a nice place with lots of things to do around the area along with some great food stops.

It was perfect for our family. The only thing is that we never found the 4th bed for my daughter. It was around 9pm and since the office was closed, we were not able to get help. My daughter ended up sleeping with us.

Relaxing stay in a quiet lagoon. We enjoyed the manatees swimming in front of our houseboat every day. The facility was clean the staff were very friendly and restaurants were in easy walking distance.

Houseboat was amazing

Amazing time staying in the houseboats. Quiet and peaceful. We watched the manatees every morning while sitting on the back of the boat. Great location. Staff was helpful, quick to respond with what we needed. We even rented a fishing pole and bought some bait. Couldn’t beat their prices anywhere. Definitely worth the stay and I would recommend to anyone.

The visit by the barnacled manatee was a highlight. Water in the fridge and basic supplies for morning coffee would have been greatly appreciated given that none were available for purchase on site. The condition of the check-in area was off-putting, although the houseboat itself was clean.

The location was great. Quiet area. The houseboat that we were given was not the one pictured on the Hotel.com site. It needed some updating. The toilet smelled like an outhouse. Which they pumped it out and poured some solution in it. Made it smell a bit better. They had some flying bugs in a corner of the living room, which one of the guys there said it was termites, nothing they could do.

Cheap price to rent house boat. Houseboat was clean but dated. Washroom on the boat always smelled like sewage. Outside around the house boat had the same smell. Air conditioning units were old and loud. Hard to sleep with them on so we had to turn the one in the bedroom off, then back in when we left for the day so it wouldn’t be hot. Never hung out there. We stayed away until it was time to sleep. Had to leave a day early because of the condition's. Complaining wouldn’t have done anything because the Marina was old and facilities were dated. Marina atmosphere showed the owner only fixed what needed to be fixed. Staff were not friendly. They spoke to you but were always trying to walk away to avoid talking to you.
