By far, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.
Although I do not blame the hotel staff in general, I hold EXPEDIA responsible for recommending this place and giving it a rating of over 8/10. In my opinion, this hotel does not even deserve a 5 or 6.
What I liked:
The hotel staff were polite.
The location is very close to the Taksim area.
That’s it. Everything else belongs in my “dislike” list. The experience was so bad that I checked out after just one night and booked another hotel — fully aware that I would lose the payment for my remaining three nights.
What I disliked:
This place is NOT suitable for you or your loved ones if you want a relaxed, clean, and enjoyable stay.
The property was dirty, crowded, smelly, old, and unwelcoming.
We were five people in two rooms, both extremely small — barely enough space to walk.
The power outlets were broken and unsafe.
The bathroom light flickered constantly.
The elevators were tiny, had no ventilation, and we often waited over 5–10 minutes for them. Most of the time, we used the stairs, which themselves were unsafe and frightening to use.
The smell of burning wires, smoke, and cigarettes was present throughout the building.
The breakfast dining area was crowded, dark, smelly, and unpleasant.
The pool, other elevators, and common areas were under construction — with no safety signs.
The safe box in our room was broken and required repair.
Final verdict:
Just don’t go there.
