A real gem of a hotel. Lovely spacious rooms off the beating track but so easy to walk to key venues, catch tram and train or taxi called for by wonderful reception. Staff so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend a stay if visiting Rio…. I don’t think I would have been as adventurous if staying in the busy parts of town

I always look for smaller boutique hotels on our travels and this one didn’t disappoint! Full of character, but modern in its facilities. Our room was a good size, comfortable and with two comfy chairs to chill out on. A super comfortable bed and the shower was large and powerful. They supply a nice breakfast to your table. The patio and pool areas both have great views across the city. The hotel is located in the charming Santa Teresa neighbourhood, which feels like a small hilltop village above the chaotic city below. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. The only downside was that the WiFi continuously dropped out in our room, which was frustrating!

Good, but with Cons.

This was just an average experience. I guess the so many excellent previous reviews made me disappointed. The reception closes at 8pm and made me aware that there would be no one available to check me in after that. Also, there is no onsite security guard and guests have the property gate’s keys to get in and out (with anyone) during the night. That really made me uncomfortable! The rooms are good and the shower awesome. Breakfast was served only after 8am (time that employees arrive to work). In my first day, I was served only after 8.30am and got late for a meeting. The location is quiet and the views are great. I guess the major con here is the feeling of lack of security.

We checked out several days early despite paying for the whole atay ahead of time. Water leaked from the ceiling, the shower broke on us, a worm found its way into the shower. In general it just wasn't a boutique hotel, the quality was more on par with a hostel. White walls in disrepair, the room was never cleaned, nor the towels. Very minimal english language abily from the staff (who were otherwise vdeiendly(. ability.

The hotel is nice overall, the views, the pool and the courtyard. However the bed was very uncomfortable, it was hard and the pillows were flat. I asked for an another one and they gave me another flat one. My partner prefers the hardness of the mattress. Breakfast was lovely however, some of the fruits in the fruit salad were a little soft. The options were okay. We didn’t like the lock system, you could probably kick the door and it would open. There is no safe which is why we were a little hesitate to leave valuable belongings. We asked for a hair dryer and never received one. Also the air condition only blows coolish air.

Me hospedei no hotel de terça para quarta para conhecer a experiência e, no geral, tive uma estadia agradável, principalmente pelo conforto do quarto e pela simpatia da equipe. Na chegada, tive dificuldade para localizar o hotel, pois faltam sinalizações e informações mais claras de acesso. Os portões estavam fechados, o que causou uma sensação estranha no primeiro momento, embora eu entenda que seja por segurança. Também senti falta de informações importantes no site sobre o funcionamento do local. Outro ponto que me surpreendeu foi não haver recepção após as 20h. Os hóspedes ficam com a chave do portão porque não há funcionários no período da noite, o que me deixou um pouco insegura. Preciso destacar o excelente atendimento da Ana Luiza e da equipe em geral, todos muito simpáticos e solícitos. O quarto é incrível: confortável, espaçoso e aconchegante, realmente com sensação de estar em casa. A piscina também foi um ponto muito positivo, praticamente exclusiva durante minha hospedagem. Além disso, pude permanecer no local após o checkout aproveitando a piscina sem cobrança extra. Apesar disso, alguns pontos decepcionaram, principalmente considerando o valor da diária. O restaurante esteve fechado boa parte do tempo e, quando abriu, havia poucas opções disponíveis. O café da manhã também deixou a desejar por não ser buffet e ainda possuir itens cobrados à parte. Foi uma noite agradável, mas, pelo custo-benefício, não retornaria.

Mil estrelas (sem exagero) Nossa experiência no Boutique Hotel Castelinho foi simplesmente inesquecível. Instalado em um casarão histórico tombado, o hotel carrega uma atmosfera única, cheia de charme, memória e personalidade. É o tipo de lugar que te transporta no tempo, sem abrir mão do conforto e da sofisticação. Desde o momento da chegada, fomos recebidos com um cuidado e uma atenção que realmente nos tocaram. Um detalhe especial: éramos os únicos brasileiros no hotel, e ainda assim nos sentimos completamente acolhidos, como se estivéssemos em casa, só que em uma versão muito mais elegante e especial. O serviço é impecável, mas o que realmente faz a diferença são as pessoas. Um destaque mais do que especial para a Bia e a Amanda, que foram simplesmente maravilhosas. Atenciosas, gentis e sempre um passo à frente, com uma energia leve e genuína que transforma toda a experiência. Saímos de lá apaixonados, pelo lugar, e, principalmente, pelo atendimento impecável.
