What a beautiful view

We booked two rooms for our family trip. To be honest, I didn’t read the Google reviews before making the reservation; if I had, I probably would have skipped this hotel. However, we got lucky: the staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the view is wonderful. From our rooms, we can see the pier, and it is beautiful. The only downside is that the route from the reception to the rooms is a bit like a maze.

great restaurant & bar, very old hotel

it is reasonable if you want something cheap but not fancy. Very old facility, gym and sauna dont work. holes in walls and moldy. but comfortable beds, big room. the restaurant and bar was impressive. overall average stay. price of $160 a night is very reasonable.

Easy check in. Lovely quiet area. Great option for attending the nearby theme parks. Ample parking. Our room was spacious and clean. You can tell the hotel is a little dated, however for the price you are paying is an excellent option in my view.

Just a quick one night stopover but the room was lovely overlooking the marina … very quiet and peaceful … clean and well furnished… having read some bad reviews I was a bit dubious but we had a great stay … ate a casual dinner out in the terrace and breakfast there the next morning…. Staff were all pleasant and helpful… an absolute bargain for what we paid.. would definitely stay again x

Interesting hotel

The bathroom had a used cotton bud on the floor and there was hair in the bath the type of some had shaved in it and not rinsed it. The hallway floor looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed for a long time. The pizza from the bar was nice. The restaurant looked unorganised.

This place was 100 percent value for money. We paid $397 for 3 nights. Nothing close to that for the area you are in. The place is set out brilliantly and we loved our stay there with our 3 kids. Our youngest shared the bed with us. I would highly recommend this place for anyone travelling to the Gold Coast. It is close enough to surfers and all the shopping precincts but a lot quieter than your usual surfers, Broadbeach style apartments.

CONS: Our stay here was okay. The bathroom was mouldy even though it was just cleaned. We turned up at 6pm to find the room being cleaned, check-in started at 2pm. We accidentally left something behind and there was never an answer to our call, after multiple attempts. PROS: It is a great location, very convenient. The seafood buffet on a Saturday night is really good. Our beds were comfortable and the room was a good size.

Stayed for 7 nights and my room was never cleaned. Inside the room there was no wardrobe or chest of drawers to hang my clothes. There was no shower gel or shampoo or mug to drink the complimentary coffee. The room had not been painted for years looking at the colour disfiguration and dirt. Too few staff. A chinese woman was the only person always on duty. Breakfast was ok and the bar too. Other friends had better and cleaner rooms. Very disappointing considering I paid 3 months in advance over £400 English pounds. Overall it was a good job I only stayed in the room to sleep.
