This was a great choice, in a great little neighborhood. The hotel was clean, quiet, and in a neighborhood with plenty of food and drink choices. All the basics are within walking distance and there is a killer Irish bar next door. Shout out to The Embassy next door, great people!

The suite was just what we need for our few days in town for a music festival. The hotel was very nice. Bed was very comfy. The area was very cute and the hotel was quiet. We definitely checked out the places in the local guide and were impressed. Only negative was parking, but that was to be expected and they gave advice. They were very helpful and responsive when we reached out for assistance prior to check out. I would definitely book here again

Little Italy Review

After having a rough first night trying to find a place to stay in Chicago, this hotel was a godsend. Everything was very nicely decorated, very clean and check-in worked perfectly. We especially loved the book provided, with tips for sightseeing and places to eat in the neighborhood! The amenities were a huge plus as well, having access to a full kitchen and a washer dryer combo really made the place feel like a home for the time of our visit in Chicago. Thanks to the hotel and the housekeeping team in Chicago for the hospitality. If I ever have the pleasure of visiting this City again, I know where I will stay!

Property was in a safe, walkable area with plenty of food options. It also wasn't far from downtown Chicago/Michigan Ave. The rooms were nice and clean.

Disappointed and Pricey

Pros - staff responded by text quickly to questions; cleaning staff is nice Cons - mattresses very soft - led to back pain and sleepless nights; location does not feel safe at night; next to bar so saw drunk people walking out multiple nights; location not ideal or close to the museums or nicer restaurants; bathroom shower area very small while bathroom itself is very large - floors can get wet easily from the shower; sofa bed was tilted making it difficult for children to sleep; pricey - not a great value vs other options in the city; no staff on site - if you need extra towels or pillows or blankets if asked in afternoon or later, you have to wait til the next day to receive; didnt feel kid friendly. May be we just got a bad unit. Just unfortunately very disappointed with this stay.

The Neighborhood Hotel is Our New Fave!

I couldn’t reccomend The Neighborhood Hotel-Little Italy enough! Our family (me, my wife, and our 3-year-old) had plenty of space and comfort during our Spring Break stay in Chicago! The one bedroom apartment is SUPER spacious, with high ceilings and lots of space for relaxing. The kitchen has everything you need to cook quick meals or full family dinners, with the added bonus of a groovy Mokamaster coffee maker and the best ground coffee from Metric in Chicago. The bedroom had one of the softest and most comfortable beds I’ve slept in, and there’s plenty of space for a crib/cot/roll-away bed for the kiddos. The closet is neat and organized, with a bedside fan, clothes steamer, and even yoga mats. The location is superior, walking distance from some great restaurants (get The Frank from Conte di Savoia across the street). Right outside the hustle of the loop, the hotel is about an 8-minute walk from the Pink Line, taking you right into the heart of everything Chicago has to offer.

8/10 Very good

No Telephone number

Everything was great nice little place. Only thing I would say was missing is the fact you cannot find a phone number to communicate with someone on the phone.
Toni, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Good property. Needed clearer instructions for entering building. Told I’d get an email but initial info came in text and later email. Confusing, but fine once we received the code. Parking is around but not a lot of free parking.
Erma, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

The apartment was great - stylish, had everything I needed, and was in a location that worked for me (but might not be for people who want somewhere more suitable for tourists / families). Unfortunately, on 2 occasions during my 4 day stay the apartment flooded. While the maintenance staff were helpful, providing towels and fans, the issue was not resolved. It had clearly happened before because the apartment smelled damp from a soaking wet rug. I was very disappointed that the management made no attempt to apologise, offer an alternative room or compensation. There was also no clear place or instructions about what to do in the event of a tornado (which happened on 2 nights.) A number of residents ended up in a basement which appeared to be a building site and felt unsafe. Both of these issues feel like problems associated with the property being newly renovated and not quite ready. Assuming they are addressed, and the communication improves, I would stay again because the apartment was great.
