My stay at The Cove was generally positive, outside of the first night. I had hoped for a second floor room, but none were available. Yet, when I stepped into the room it was lovely. It was modern yet comfortable with nearly everything I needed. The bed was also very comfortable. (An extra blanket would have been nice, but thankfully I brought a small one of my own). The staff were friendly and fairly responsive. There was a bit of misunderstanding about the housekeeping and the system for communicating about it felt cumbersome. The first evening the upstairs guests were quite loud, and their footsteps heavy and disruptive well into the night. Also due to heavy winds that night, the door to the room rattled back and forth all night which was quite startling and made sleep very difficult. It is a motel-like set-up where you enter the room from the outside...a detail I either didn't notice or realize upon booking. The remaining three nights however, were quiet and peaceful and I slept much better. A couple of other suggestions: access to the ice machine would be helpful, especially for early morning departures and needing to keep remaining food cold for the day. Lastly, a microwave would also have been nice in the room. The Cove was a convenient spot, with easy access to nearby towns, food, and shopping. I enjoyed my stay, outside of the first night and would recommend with some caveats.
