Below a cheap standard, and not value for money

We chose a cheap option for accommodation but this was below standard even for the price we paid. "Tired and unloved" does it too much justice. Carpets were dirty. Bed sagged. Furniture and fittings old and scruffy.

No milk provided. No plug in the bathroom basin so could not fill it with warm water. Could not operate the microwave oven. Television remote control did not operate very well. Maybe needs new batteries. Kitchen utensils need a sharp knife added. Kitchen appliances old and rusty. Fire and emergency sign on the wall beside where there used to be a landline telephone attached saying to dial 111 in an emergency. Not everyone has a cellphone. The place needs a massive renovation as it is old and tired.

Everything inside was really old , spotted and worn , I don't want to touch anything of the stuff inside the cupboards .Even the carpet looks terrible. The beds were small and saggy We leave this place 5.30h in the morning without coffee or breakfast .At least the town was wonderful and we could see some of the blue Pinguins.

An older Motel though rather tired looking seems to have had some recent interior maintenance and tidy up. Basic lower end appliances, incl tv, furniture and bar heater. Rowdy flooring in Kitchen/lounge area. Unit had wifi issues with some problems also with TV reception. Clean and very well serviced with friendly attendance by local manager. Seemed a reasonably convenient budget type facility suited to short term stay.

We booked a studio at this motel and the price and photos online looked pretty good. But when we opened the door we realised we shouldn't have booked it! It was so extremely small (we've booked other studios before and never this small!). The aged carpet on the floor was badly stained. The bathroom was tiny. The bed and bath linen was clean but the rest of the room was very shoddy. The wifi was soooo slow it was unusable. When we drove out we realised that there was only one studio on the whole property. The owner should turn Room 13 into a storeroom. It shouldn't be a room you get charged $110 for. The rest of the rooms on the property looked okay but were twice the price.

On a main road but because the unit was away from street we didn't hear traffic noise. Carpet stained and well overdue for shampooing. Wifi frustrating, timewaster and unreliable. Tried moving around the room in different places but it didn't make any difference! Still unreliable! Hurry up owners and attend to this problem when a service is included in tariffs but malfunctions. It has not just happened in 2024 but previous years! Decided we will not be staying again!

We were cordially greeted on arrival, escorted to the room, and offered to assist with luggage from car. Town facilities were advised by staff. Overall a very good, comfortable place to stay

Cheap and run down. The room was cold, smelly and there was mould on the walls. The microwave didn’t work and nor did the Wifi. The bathroom window latch was loose. It was noisy as a party was going on then the traffic began.
