Rooms are very poorly maintained, we had several issues- tap spraying water everywhere, toaster broken, front security door broken and unable to be locked, glass doors bent meaning they could admit insects, wardrobe doors not able to be moved. Staff rectified some of these issues but in general the room was in very poor condition, and did not smell nice. It also was insufficiently clean. Cooking utensils such as saucepans were in poor condition - flaking with unsafe to use Teflon. Positives- a full size fridge, comfortable beds, commercially cleaned linen.

It was very basic but served my needs fine, wouldn’t stay more than a few days at a time but would stay again Bed was comfy but not made properly Grounds were lovely Rooms could do with a little maintenance But over all a pleasant stay (once found car park and room as directions not clear by receptionist)

Great upgrades since i last stayed 10 years ago, pool are still excellent condition, only part that was a bummer was the portable induction stove disnt work. The noise from the traffic was a littlw annoying, but that cant be helped as it was a friday night, holiday period in GC. Otherwise, overall, excellent

We booked on very short notice so was happy to have a place to put our heads down for the night. Basic unit but the bed and facilities were clean, and for the price - what would you expect?? They supplied ear plugs as they know it is noisy - obviously on a main road in Gold Coast - we expected it to be noisy. Handy to all sorts of things and just a short walk to an amazing variety of foods. When we left, I saw a family with 3 Children all enjoying the pool - I reckon they would have been happy as to find a place so handy to so much and affordable for that size of family group.

After booking, I read some negative reviews, so arrived with a somewhat negative attitude. I found that the room was clean and did not smell at all. Very pleased. Another reviewer said that the deposit was slow being returned. Mine arrived in my bank the next day. The room and bedding was clean but the architecture needed renewal with attention to detail. Work done was sub standard which lowered the presentation considerably. The chairs were old and we needed to put a cushion on them to sit comfortably at all. The kitchen was basic and needs some attention. The location and access to shops on the sea front was excellent. Lots of walks and things to see. Close to Gold Coast Village with public transport available. In conclusion, If you want a place to stay without these rustic features, pay a lot more and you will get it elsewhere. Would I stay there again, YES.

An older building with a bit of wear and tear. However priced accordingly. Conveniently located with easy access. Not the flashiest of hotels, but it was comfortable and has all the basics you need. I would stay here again.

The parking spaces are to narrow and you can’t get into the parking area properly or out of your car without hitting your car or someone else’s. So the best option is to park on the street if you can find a spot. Our room had patches all over the walls and the bathroom door was coming apart at the bottom.There was an unpleasant smell in the room when we entered, so we had to open everything up.
