We absolutely ADORED our cute and VERY CLEAN room! Amenities were exactly what we needed and the property manager (Capital Hotel, I assume) was very communicative and helpful. Parking was exactly as described (free, on-street). Having never been to Philadelphia before, we weren’t sure what to expect, but it turned out the property is in a great location for getting around (especially on the transit busses). There is an Aldi’s and a wine and liquor store nearby; we stocked our fridge with snacks for our evening wind-down time. There is also a bagel shop within walking distance for morning coffees and whatnot. We felt safe in the neighborhood and beyond. I need to return to Philly for further medical testing and my first task, after scheduling my appointment(s) is to book hopefully the same room, or any small room in the house (I will probably be alone next time, now that I am an “expert” in navigating the city! 😄
This is my husband Matthew. He got comfy right away! 😉

This place was great! Clean, lots of great color and decorating, full shared kitchen with high end appliances. I should mention that there are stairs and no elevator which I didn't mind but just something to be aware of. Overall great experience

Overall good for the price. If you’re in one of the basement rooms, the wifi is so bad that it’s basically un-usable. Not having a lamp on the bedside table and only having overhead lighting is diabolical. But it was fine enough for 2 nights.

The property was clean, it is very well taken care of and kept up. Rooms was so cute and well decorated also small but I was just going to sleep really so it is perfect. Nice size share able kitchen. The room did have a mini fridge to put things into. Bathroom was small but again it served its purpose. Overall I rate the room 5/5.

10/10 Excellent

Very reasonably priced place in an up and coming neighborhood, walkable to some cool food spots such as a nice bagel and coffee place. Free parking very close by. The company sent us the code to get in before the scheduled check in and we had no issues any of the 4 days we stayed there.

i liked that the check in was easy. And when i had problems with the check in because i paid the incidental fee and i got in contact w the property they provided me with the code pretty fast.

2/10 Terrible

Disappointing Stay – Not Truly Pet-Friendly I had a very disappointing experience at this property. Although it was listed as “pet-friendly,” I was later told pets were only allowed “on request,” which was not disclosed in the listing. Despite my dog being quiet and well-behaved, I received an unwelcoming message that disrupted my trip. The major issue was with the refundable incidental/damage fee. Even though I left the room in excellent condition, my refund was denied due to “pet hair”—something never listed as a basis for an extra cleaning fee. I was willing to pay the advertised pet fee, but was surprised by this sudden additional charge the hotel came up with when questioned about my refund, which felt arbitrary and unfair. Communication was poor; I reached out multiple times and never received a clear response. The listing was misleading, and I felt misled by unexpected fees and lack of accountability. Additionally, the surrounding area was run down and felt unsafe, which added to the discomfort. I would not stay here again and recommend travelers clarify all pet policies and fee details in writing beforehand.

This Apartment itself was clean, but it was in a rundown Area and you could not regulate the hot water in the shower. It was scalding.
Shawnda, 3-night trip

It can work for short stays

The bedroom and bathroom were really small but we could manage as it was just 2 nights. So for those shorter stays it can work. We could not adapt the temperature of the water in the bathroom so it was scalding and seemed to not work. The noise was something bad too as we could hear other people talking. The maintenance guy is definitely something to highlight, he was really nice and fixed the bathroom door dor us right away and make himself Available in case we needed. So overall was not bad but these small things were really annoying

There is an area between the kitchen and bedrooms that I kept loosing my step and would almost fall, not realizing there was a lower step. This is very dangerous and a bad accident or injury waiting to happen. Separate the step with a color demarcation. The floor as is blends in with step.
Corliss, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

Overall this hotel was really nice, safe, and clean, and I would give it 4* if it wasn't for some frustrations I experienced. The guest staying above me was loud until 5am for 2 nights in a row, and someone in the neighbourhood was playing music until that time too. The hotel said that they had spoken to the upstairs guest, and sent someone to check on me the next day, which I appreciated. However, it didn't change much and was still loud. The area is also a bit further north than I anticipated, although there are regular buses in the area. Also note that the kitchen/common area is shared, only the room and bathroom itself are private. This was not a problem but I had been unclear on that prior to my stay. Finally, the hotel prompted me to write a review, suggesting they will prolong returning my incidental payment of over $200 if I did not, which I think is a sour tactic to leave guests with when departing.

Clean , quaint , stylish and comfy apartment

Very nice building , extremely well designed and decorated . Smelled so so good , they allowed pets and respected that our pup is an actual service animal needed for my disabled husband . I forgot my dish one night and it was cleaned by the morning so I was very over satisfied with that unexpected kindness . The bed was super comfy . Tv with the apps were a bonus . The only things I'd say are only things that would make the owners life easier like the sink is hard to keep clean , so most won't go above and beyond to wipe up so maybe a roll of papertowels in the room and definitely one more roll of toilet paper because we ran out and had to go buy some but I'm sure most would be rude and flush paper towel ruining your septic . Also the trash can fills quick . All stuff that didn't matter to us but I'm sure would make your life easier . Great stay seamless check in and out , great neighborhood , clean comfy room .
