Terrible stay

This was my second time staying there. The first time was ok but this time was awful. This is a shared facility as the name states , hotel and residence. My family and I pulled up at 11pm and there were sketchy people just hanging out in front of the building and the parking lot. The smoking and loud noise was just unsettling. Also, the advertise full kitchen which was lovely, however there were no pots, pans, utensils, nothing to cook with. I went down to the front desk to ask where are the pots and pans to cook. I was given some paper plates and plastic forks and spoons. Also, were there for 4 days and the AC was not working. We kept asking and they would say were will send maintainance, but never did. It was on our final day that they finally told us that the entire hotel AC was out. Some days it was 80 degrees inside the rooms. I had 2 rooms and all my complaints was the same for both rooms. I reported that the phone in the room was not working and they promised to bring a new phone on day one. At check out still no phone. The building is only one year old, and the interior is clean but outside is trash everywhere and just unkept.

They ask for $200 security deposit, on the debit machine it shows $200. But on my account they withdraw $230. Scammed off me $30 and its been over 3-4 business day they haven't return me my money. I had to call in and they say I should receive my security deposit today which I haven’t. I dont have the time to chase my money down. As well in case I am too busy they probably keep my money. Its is unethical to say that the security deposit is $200 but their system end up withdrawing $230.

The room was great, except there was people smoking weeds at night and it was smelling the whole night, we wanted to make a complaint but the phone was not working. I tried calling front desk the following day from my cellphone to request for a towel but, we waited for more than 30mins but nothing came.

The rooms were nice, but the window seals were bad. There was a constant whistle and blowing coming from the windows during our stay. There were also some alarms going off, and whoever was next to us was parting all night. The walls seemed pretty thin because we heard them all night as well. That being said, I understand the loud guests aren’t really the hotel’s fault.

They need better cleaning staff

First the garbage in the living area was not emptied so we called and they came and fixed it. Then I noticed that the chairs in the dining area were visible filthy and gross. The couch smelled like pee with visible dirt spots on it. Spotted a tiny cockroach close to the kettle but at that point I was over it because there’s already so many things wrong with the room. Bath tub look like they haven’t scrubbed it in weeks which is really cross if I’m being honest. Called to let them know other just said okay which means it’s definitely a regular occurrence with this establishment.

worst hotel near the Toronto congress center BY FA

Reasons this hotel should close: 1. Sure, rooms have a "full kitchen," but between both rooms we were in (more on that later), we had 3 glasses, 2 forks, 1 skillet, 1 serving spoon, 2 knives, and 4 plates. 2. When we called the front desk to ask for forks in the room that didn't have any forks, he said there were none. (???) 3. When we called the front desk to ask for towels (because there weren't any), he said we had to come get them ourselves. 4. After we checked in we went out for a few hours. When we came back, there were cockroaches in the sink/around the kitchen area. This is why we changed rooms. 5. Our key card stopped working. Fine, not a problem. We head to the front desk and she says she doesn't know how to program the key cards. Fine, not a problem. She must be new. There is an employee on our floor who can let us in. Fine, how convenient! We can come back to the desk anytime we want and get the key card programmed again. Fine, no problem. We learn later that the lady who didn't know how to do it was THE MANAGER. (???) 6. While the bed/mattress and pillows were comfortable, at least in our room, the sheets/cases/covers were dirty/stained. 7. The halls are dirty. Crumbs everywhere, tissues, and markers/crayons on the walls. 8. Priced like it doesn't have issues 1-7. Reasons this hotel won't close: 1. Location. At the very least, most of the staff WERE nice. There just wasn't enough of them and I feel bad for the ones who are there. It would not surprise me in

Very good stay

The hotel itself is gorgeous, the rooms are beautiful and the lobby has snacks at a fair price, but the first night we were there, the fire alarm went off at 1AM waking us up and forcing everyone downstairs. There was no fire but I don't know why the alarm went off. The next day, there was some reno work in the rook next to us that woke us up around 9AM but these were both isolated incidents and don't reflect on the service. The staff were friendly, helpful and extremely polite by even stopping us in the hall and asking if we needed anything extra for the room. The only complainy I have is the dirty sock we found on the window sill behind the desk, it was really dirty so we left it there. Overall a great experience ans I enjoyed my stay.
