Room was very comfortable and clean. Had a fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed to cook all of our meals. The ocean view was amazing from our balcony.

The outside and lobby were nice, the room ok. Bed was not the best and the room was only ok as far as being clean. Baseboards had hair and dirt on them. Bedding was old as were the towels. Things need to be updated. Windows are old. But it wasn’t terrible. Pool area very clean

We requested early check in. They did not respond. We arrived to find the building mostly empty per the parking lot. We were told we could not check in till 4pm whether or not the room was clean. By 4 pm the lobby was full of people who waited for hours to check in. The building has seven floors and over 110 units. But there is only one small elevator. Unit owners told us the other elevator has been out of order most of the time since 1980. It's a safety hazard for seniors. I am surprised the health and fire departments allow that. Waiting time for the elevator was awful. The beach was nice. Pool etc were decent. Staff were friendly but say they cannot budge re the 4pm checkin madness.

I was not able to check into my room until the following day. I had to pay to stay at a different hotel the first night. When I went to check in at the Islander, she said I could have checked in the day prior. There was miscommunication in their end. I was understanding due to the hurricane. My room was at the end of the hall, which was next to the door. There was a wind noise that so obnoxiously loud, it was near impossible to sleep. The air conditioner also did not work sometimes and I would wake up sweating. Thankfully I brought a fan that I was able to use. The room hasn’t had a good cleaning in ages, very dusty. Overall was disappointed.
