From the get-go things started off rough…we tried to call several times on the way to the hotel as we were arriving earlier than check-in. We were hoping to be able to check-in early. However, after a few calls to to local number (which redirect to a call center) and a call to the hotels.com number, we were unable to get anyone to answer the phones at the hotel. We even tried from our room, and no one answered from there either!!
When we got to the hotel, we expressed our frustration, but the lady at the desk had zero concern or apology. She just said to come back at check-in time. No biggie, but a little compassion would have been nice.
At check in everything seemed very frantic in the lobby. Employees running every direction, staff needing assistance with each check-in, and a very slow process. The doors never shut, so it was very hot and humid in the lobby.
After check-in we were greeted by a very friendly bellhop who was one of the lights of our stay! He was so helpful getting our stuff to the room, and gave us his number in case we needed anything. We reached out several times with questions for suggestions about dinner, music, entertainment, etc.
Be sure to tip your bellhop!!
Our room was tidy and smelled clean, but the hotel itself was filthy and felt very under kept! There was a huge stack of room service trays by the elevator for over 24 hours until we told he front desk. Luke’s of towels all over the pool deck, dirty drink cups around the fire pit…
