After booking this nonrefundable room, the facility sent an email demanding a $500 cash damaged deposit. Attempts to reach the proprietors by the listed phone number or unsuccessful and a message announced that they only correspond by email. It revealed that there is no one on site staffing the accommodation. I attempted to cancel the reservation. Hotels.com was unhelpful. I canceled charge with my credit card company, which was helpful. I do not believe this is a legitimate accommodation, but rather a scam.

This place is either a scam or run by incompetent people. I paid and then got a message stating I need to make a security deposit via Zelle. Seems fishy but then they never provided me with their Zelle info to send it. I attempted to contact them and they had such broken English and didn’t understand, just kept telling me to text them. I attempted to text them but they still didn’t understand the issue. I will be disputing this charge with my credit card. Do not book this place!

My mom and I stayed 1 night in the bunk bed room. We were so impressed with the location. You can see Wrigley Field from the back deck so if you're there for a game it's a perfect place to stay because it's less than a block from the field. The cleaning lady was very helpful and even though we had a language barrier she called a friend who help us communicate. We have always stayed in a hotel but decided to try something new. It was worth it and the price for the location is crazy cheap. Also there's a huge selection of restaurants right around the corner from fast food to upscale. The rooms are small but the neighborhood and location make it perfect.

This property is within view of Wrigley Field. For the price, in the middle of the summer it was reasonably priced. Property is in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of fun, local places to eat. The Addison Red Line stop is a 5 minute walk from the location. Two key observations to share. First, you will not talk to an actual person when you visit. All communications are handled through text message. If that is your jam then this is the place for you. Second, if you stay in a single room, the bathroom is shared. We ran into no problems with this arrangement. Just leave some extra time in your morning.

Worst host/owner I have ever encountered. They ask for a huge cash deposit via Venmo or Zelle. Our deposit was for the “Garden” Unit. I called Hotels.com prior and they confirmed the Venmo deposit was protocol for this property and it was legit. I cannot say enough ways how difficult it was to communicate with the property. It is all through nameless text and the person who handles the text line is as dense as a fence post (horrid communicator). I have 80 plus texts with them and the property switches back and forth between text and hotels.com platform so it was difficult where to park, how to get them the deposit, how to get it back, door code, etc. The property listing is misleading and should be removed. The pictures show a deck and a sun soaked kitchen. This is a dark, lightless, basement unit. It’s a 1 bedroom with a den. It is in no way a 3 bedroom unit. It has three rows of bunk beds in three curtain less nooks yet it is advertised and priced as a three bedroom. The unit has no ambient light and feels like a jail cell. The bathroom shower water gathered and stayed on the floor the entire time. It is so poorly designed. The queen bed does not have a fitted sheet so we slept face to plastic mattress pad both nights. We asked them to address this and the texter said, no. The toilet paper is .50 per dozen. Ouchie! They held my Venmo deposit for 8 days. I had to fight, scratch and claw to get the deposit. Awful experience!

This property is very clean and a nice place to stay, especially when attending a cubs game in wrigleyville. Everything is in walking distance and it’s a safe neighborhood.
