The hotel was ok. Decent size room, clean and a good location for the town centre / short walk from the station. It did fail on a few fronts for me though: the room was very warm, the sink was slow to drain, the loo took several flushes, even just for a piece of tissue paper, the towels were quite small, there was no plug anywhere near the bed, the floorboards in the room above were very squeaky, the reception never seemed to be staffed meaning check in was unnecessarily slow and, not the hotel's fault of course, but it seemed like workmen started digging up the road at about 11pm. So, overall, decent enough for the price but lots of little niggles which let it down somewhat.

Lovely staff. grotty, broken room with flaking woodwork. Horrible place. Beautiful building but clearly so many years of neglect have left it as a decaying hovel. Should have been half the price for what it is. WAY too expensive to stay in this kind of squalor. GO ELSEWHERE !!!
