Lovely setting, ideal location for exploring the area and nice spacious room. Our room (Room 4) was very hot, due to the hot water pipes running through it. This would have been lovely most of the year, but made the room too warm for mid-summer. My fiancé found it too hot to sleep, even with the window open and the fan on. Aside from that, it was a very nice room and bathroom. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were very helpful, warm and friendly. We would definitely stay again.

A Warm Stay
The house itself was very nice and the food good. The visit was sligtly spoilt by the room being extremely warm. It had been a humid day but the hot water pipe that went through the room meant that we had a very sticky and and not totally relaxing night. Ap[art from that I would rate the hotel good.

Great except for the power cuts!
Lovely location and was initially put in room 5 which I really liked. But the power kept cutting out so I was moved to room 4 which I didn't like so much. There were problems the second night with power too, apparently, although it worked ok in my new room.

Friendly Characterful Hotel in a Great Location
We always enjoy staying at this hotel, which is full of character and in a lovely area, with several great pubs and lots of surrounding places to explore. The staff here are always friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed my stay. I felt both comfortable and well looked after. It was a nice environment in a good peaceful location, which is what I was looking for. After a four hour journey I was able to relax and enjoy the hospitality and good food..
