Improvements needed for me to ever stay here again
This was a family trip with my husband and 2 small children and several close friends. We normally stay at the Golden Tulip, which we love, but decided to give this hotel a try since it was new.
The Good:
Nice pool, nice rooftop bar, comfy bed, comfy room, large rooms, cold AC, fridge included.
The Bad:
There's a fee for everything. We felt like we were being nickeled a dimed our entire stay. A fee for early check in and a fee for late checkouts. While ironing a brand new dress of our friend, housekeeping ripped it claimed they'd received it that way. The same friend ordered fried chicken, discovered it was uncooked, returned it and the same chicken was brought back. It was simply refried and the hotel still charged for it. Our chicken was wrong once and they did not want to refund us. Poor wait service, they don't check on you. No forks or spoons at the tables. No washcloths, no hand soap, watered down bath soap. Shower pulsates between very hot and very cold. Hotel only has king beds and no sleeper couch. Takes 1 hour+ to get food. Elevator code changes randomly with no notice. Elevator got stuck a few times. Porcelain floor tiles are used on the dining tables and some were cracked and sharp, very dangerous. Food is horrible. Everything tasted the same. No itemized billing so you don't know what you're being charged for. No irons are included in the rooms. You're forced to use laundry service to iron so you're forced to pay. Another example of nickel and diming.
