We stayed in Fredericksburg at The Sunday House from Tuesday April 15th through Friday April 18th. This is a very comfortable hotel and the staff is very gracious. Fredericksburg is just a lovely town. We had a great experience with our private wine tour through a local business that offers these wonderful tours.

Clean but Older and Dated

The motel is older and dated, but overall our room was clean. The mattress was extremely soft and likely had been on the bed for quite some time as sunk towards the middle of the bed. The breakfast was good and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The location is great for walking to all the establishments on Main Street.

2 star hotel with 5 star rating!

For a 2 star hotel we loved it. We needed something close to town, without spending an arm and a leg. Hotel staff were friendly, rooms were very spacious. Free coffee in room, microwave, fridge, hot water and good shower water pressure. Best part, bed was so comfortable! Parking is a bit weird but thats about it.

Feet in the air.

Several drawers had trash in them. Once if the drawers had a handful of coins. A dirty sheet was still on the pull out couch/ bed, which didn't end up being a big deal because sleeping on it was pretty impossible. We didn't really expect great comfort from the pull out but sleeping with your legs a foot higher than your head is a bit difficult (in addition to the normal springs and bars). The staff were friendly and helpful. My kids enjoyed the pool. The set up of the room was nice. The smell of the room was pleasant. It was a bit noisy but that didn't bother us so much. It was outdated and the light switches were quirky but those things also don't bother us.

Great deal in Fredericksburg!

Awesome customer service, helpful people at the check-in desk. Very thorough and explained exactly where to park. We got a Deluxe suite room on 3rd floor with an elevator. Very spacious, super clean, and even the area around the buildings were spotless. They take care of this property. Bathroom was spotless and I didn't see any rust or other dirt in the corners. Best hotel room I've had in the past several years. Quiet rooms. Breakfast was awesome, full breakfast with lots of options like eggs, sausage, sausage and biscuits, fruit, yogurt, waffles and pastries. All very good and they kept bringing out more. for the price you can't beat it. The location was on Main street and easy to find. Had to park in the back but it was spacious spot.
