We were quite disappointed by our experience. The check in was awful. We chose not to pay for underground parking which turned out to be a mistake. We had to haul all of our luggage up a flight of slippery (not shoveled) stairs! It was super dangerous. Our ski locker they gave us was actually being used by someone else which was quite concerning, security wise. I called to get another one, but they couldn’t provide us with one that evening. There are signs EVERYWHERE that say you can’t take skis or boots into the rooms, so we had no options. We also had a 1bedroom suite that was not at all what the pictures looked like. It had a pretty well stocked and working kitchen. The bed linens and towels were not enough for 4 people so I had to call and ask for more. The front desk staff oddly gave us multiple reasons why they shouldn’t bring us more sheets and towels. I insisted and they did bring them quickly.
The room was on the 4th floor and insanely hot all the time, even though it was only -18C outside. All heaters were off and we had to leave the windows open to be able to sleep at night.
There are very few eating options around so you almost have to cook in your room or go to Golden. We chose to cook but they didn’t clean the room once in our 4 days, so we ended up with a mound of garbage, recycling and pool towels. I definitely would not pay the premium price for this hotel again. It has the best location but was not worth the money!
