Perfect little hotel right inside the gates old towne that require NO stairs to get to (this is huge). Comes with a nice little breakfast and is easily accessible right onto the main streets. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others.

Great location inside the city walls and just next to the Pile Gate. All the attractions are close by so all in walking distance. We paid for a superior room and were very happy with the facilities. Comfortable bed, nice overhead shower etc. Breakfast is nice and varied with different choices - local, French, English etc. with very friendly staff. Good value restaurant outside. Highly recommended.

Very clean and well run place. The shower, air con and cleanliness were excellent. The self check in information was very clear and the hotel conveniently situated. Location was the winner and it was quiet even though it was lively outside till late. I would definitely stay there again.

Hotellet har ett perfekt läge i gamla stan i Dubrovnik. Från parkeringen utanför Pile gate kan man gå till hotellet utan att behöva gå i trappor med väskorna. När man går ut från hotellet är man direkt i de centrala delarna av staden med restauranger och shopping. Rummen är nyrenoverade och väldigt fina. Frukosten är frikostig och där finns flera färdiga menyer att välja bland. Trots läget mitt i stan hör man inget av folklivet inne i rummet och luftkonditioneringen håller en bra temperatur i rummet.

The Akademis Gariste was perfect for me. The cab dropped me off at the Pile Gate. The driver called ahead and the hotel sent a porter to greet me. The Akademis was just a short walk from the Gate. My room was beautiful and the service was excellent. My thanks to Diana, the receptionist. She was extremely helpful and kind. I would definitely reccomend this hotel.

This is an excellent centrally located small property for a few days in Dubrovnik. The rooms are modern, clean and nice sized. Breakfast is ample, coffee is great and the service smooth. There is no lift, you have to walk with your luggage (or get a porter) from Pile Gate. But these are minor compared to being able to pop back to the hotel whilst visiting the small city. There is no reception area to relax, get a coffee or cold drink; but this is a very small 'functional' hotel - not a resort.
