Virkelig et dårligt sted. Der var bad på gangen uden mulighed for aflægning af tøj m.m. og så var det virkelig ulækker. Man kunne ikke åbne døren anden halv op på værelset da der stod en seng foran døren. Virkelig et gammelt ulækkert motel.

La chambre et salle de bain était spacieuse mais il y avait une forte odeur provenant de la moquette. Une porte claquait régulièrement sans que nous puissions en trouver la localisation. Le personnel très gentil et prévenant. Le lieu se trouve dans la campagne mais on ne peut pas se promener à pied car la route est très fréquentée et il n'y a pas de trottoir. Le petit déjeuner correct. Un bon point le pain sans gluten.

This hotel/pub is lovely downstairs, but it such a shame the rooms are so badly maintained! Our room was approximately 12’x8’ with 3 single beds crammed in it. There were 2 tvs in the room (neither worked) on top of a dressing table which was rammed up against the 3rd bed. There was no night stand so the lamp had to be placed on the floor under the dresser. There was only one double plug socket for the whole room. The kettle was on a stand and the cable barely reached the socket! The window was an old single glazed sash that didn’t work, so the room was stuffy and damp and faced onto the main road . The beds had seen better days, the mattresses didn’t fit and there was only one bathroom serving about 6 other rooms. On the plus side the food in the pub was excellent and the waiter/bar staff were very friendly.

First off, we weren’t in the main hotel building, so I can’t comment on that other than it looked ok from reception. We were in the row of rooms to the right of of the main entrance, along the main road. A surprisingly noisy main road. The room was spacious, but stank of wet dog. Huge need for a bit of TLC to be spent improving the rooms, beds, bedding, towels, carpet etc. Definitely not worth the money spent on one night unfortunately, but this seems to be a trend with small hotels and i do sympathise with small business owners in today’s economy, however £142 for a smelly worn out room isn’t going to garner favourable reviews. Breakfast was ok. Basic self service buffet but food was hot and fresh which was good. Again, some simple improvements would make this stand out more.

Fantastiskt hotell mitt i skogen

Mycket trevligt hotell mitt i skogen. Vi blev uppgraderade till rum nummer 5 som mer eller mindre var ett litet hus...mycket stort rum och ett badrum som var näst intill lika stort. Restaurangen var bra, frukosten kanske kunde vara något bättre. Kommer definitivt tillbaka.

The room was spotless, warm and spacious. We opted for Deluxe room which was situated in the annexed building on ground level. The staff were extremely welcoming. Breakfast was plentiful. Plenty of storage and coat/clothes hanging space. Being in a rural spot, we found it very peaceful. A large car park is sited just across the road, which links Perth and nearby Glenfarg. The manager and chef provided recommendations for places to visit by car. We enjoyed our stay here, part of a longer touring holiday.

Double booked cancelled our booking on the day

Despite booking in advance was rung at 12 midday after driving 5 hours to be told we had no rooms, they had double booked! Ended up spending 3 hours on phone trying to find another hotel which ended up being an hour away from where we needed to be. Disgusting service once again from hotels.com the second time they have cancelled us
