Hôtel avec du vécue, plus vieillote, mais super propre. La chambre était super confortable. Mini frigo accès et pratique lors de mon séjour, ça m'a permis d'économiser sur les repas dans les restos en faisant une petite épicerie chez Albert Heijn qui est juste en face de l'hôtel. L'emplacement est juste merveilleux. À quelques minutes de marche de la gare de train, 20 min de train du centre-ville d'Amsterdam, mais plus calme comme endroit pour dormir que directement dans le centre-ville. Zaadam c'est mignon et accessible.

Kamer was ruim en schoon. De bedden waren goed, niet te hard en niet te zacht. Ontbijt was ok, niet heel veel keuze, maar voldoende om een start in de dag te maken. Koffie was lekker. Er was een redelijk grote Albert Heijn vrijwel naast het hotel. Prima om nog wat snacks en drinken voor in de kamer in te slaan. Er is een klein koelkastje in de kamer. Voor een stedentrip naar Amsterdam een uitstekende keuze. Op 3 minuten lopen van station Zaandam en vandaar in 12 minuten naar Amsterdam Centraal. Zeker een aanrader!

Zaandam Stay

Booked a suite as we were staying several days and the small kitchenette with fridge and microwave would have come in handy (they did). Was actually given a disability access room which although large was a bit basic. It did have everything you could need; a bed (which was quite comfy), three armchairs (which were a little grubby), a dining table and four chairs but it was a little soulless. The only bit of decoration was a Dutch themed wooden mural above the bed. Being a disabled access room we had a wet room with a shower but the drainage area was quite small so we ended up with water pooling in other areas of the floor. Although not disabled ourselves we thought the kitchenette’s countertop and electrical sockets might be out of reach for wheelchair users. A pod coffee machine and kettle are supplied as well as tea and coffee but these are rationed; two teabags and two coffee pods per day (although we didn’t get coffee pods one day). Extra supplies can be purchased from reception, which also has a range of vending machines for snacks, drinks, breakfast and microwaveable meals. There is a handy Albert Heijn supermarket across the car park and the hotel itself is a short walk from the railway station.

The room and hotel were clean. Zaandam is a good area to stay if you want to be out of the busy city center. The parking looked to be about €15 a day, there were lots of spots. We didn’t use the parking but it would be a good hotel option if you needed it. The king bed in the room was very large. The pillows were kind of small. The air conditioning worked great and we could also open the window.

We had a really pleasant stay at the Best Western Zaan Hotel. The location was very convenient, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices. Would definitely stay here again!

Trip to Zaandam to see friends in Amsterdam

I really enjoyed my stay in the suite I booked. The only thing I was not sure about was how the Air-Con worked as the seating area was lovely and cool but it did not appear to work in the Bedroom as it was still quite warm. Otherwise everything was fantastic

Bien dans l'ensemble. Check in et check out sur un écran, la personne de l'accueil vous fait signe de tout faire seul. Gros manque de lumière dans la suite familiale dont une chambre sans fenêtre, la salle de bain est presque dans le noir, assez contraignant pour se maquiller. Petite supérette à côté pour acheter croissants et viennoiseries à 1€ pour échapper au petit dej très cher (18€). Accès très facile à la gare pour rejoindre Amsterdam
