The condition of Room 203 in Ash&9th (San Diego), where I booked Dec 1st to 6th and actually stayed on Dec 1st to 5th, was problematic. Specifically: * The heater did not function properly — it was not warm, made loud noises, and was difficult to turn on. * The drawer slid out by itself unexpectedly, which was frightening. It was then fixed by tightening it shut, making it unusable. These issues made it difficult for me to continue staying in the room, and therefore I had no choice but to check out on the morning of Dec. 5th.

The panel of air conditioner: the AC was off, and the only lady (who claimed not to be the maanger) refused to help on Dec. 3rd.
The only gentleman (who said he was not manager) wrote this in the morning of Dec. 5th.

The Hotel Room was really clean and had alot of upgardes as far as a nice shower and amenities. The only bummer was the Air conditioning in the room did not work so it felt a bit suffocating. Also had random people screaming outside my bedroom at 3 am which kept me up.

From reading the description, I was surprised when I got there and found it. It was very far from luxury. The walls were thin and I could hear all of my neighbors around me. The decor in the room was very bare bones. On a positive note, the staff were quite good

Location was nice, room was comfortable and modern. Just my biggest complain Pryor to calling is that they didn’t have an elevator to the 4th floor. Had a handicap person with us and been told “Elevator is broken.. you have to use the stairs” noticing we were in the 4th floor they couldn’t accommodate, even I’ve called and asked day before my trip. So we stayed 2 nights because rooms were expensive around the area, then they didn’t tell us about the $25 a night parking for hotel guests. They didn’t tell us that either on our phone call. Lady working at night was friendly and was apologetic because it was a guy who took our phone call. So I couldn’t be mad at her. So we stayed had to climb stairs twice because we couldn’t find our room number *under construction and had little tape with number. So was tired and sore from the climbing. The next day went on with our day at gaslamp just to come back that night to our locked room and deactivated keycard disable person that we were had to climb again down stairs and met this young guy that sounded like the one from the phone, he didn’t care, wasn’t welcoming and didn’t even apologize and just activated our card to climb back upstairs again to rest… room was great, but they should of stated the whole hotel was under construction, it was unsafe and paint walls were still wet. Will give this another try if everything works and actually communicate to guests. I’ll give it 2nd chance in a later future.
