I was visiting Atlanta for a professional event at the Marriott downtown, and thought this property was close enough to walk and cost effective. I really think there are some misleading reviews on this site. There is no way I would walk in this neighborhood - it's full of homeless people and drug addicts. The walls are very thin in the building and there are definitely some illegal activities going on in this building. As a solo female traveler, I would absolutely not stay here again. I happened to meet one of the Nomad managers in the elevator, who seemed very kind - but I think the issues are beyond their control. They can't really control the guests or the regular residents. There is no way I would bring kids here. The hotel is perched next to some major highways and between that, random screaming outside in middle of the night, foul smelling hallways, and strange characters lurking the property - you should skip this place. Out of curiosity, I googled reviews on the apartment building (Generations) and it checked out that this place is far from a luxury building and they really need more security. It seems no one in their right mind would want to live here so they are attempting to rent rooms as a hotel. Also, fyi - they only give you one key fob for the room which is really inconvenient if you are traveling with someone on a different schedule. Pluses were that the bed was pretty comfortable.
