There was a mouldly baby bottle stuck in the pullout couch. In the main room there was no lamp, only unpleasant overhead lighting. I asked the cleaning lady for a lamp and she found one in a storage closet in the hallway. Very nice of her. The day I arrived it seemed there was too much work for the one cleaning lady to do, turning over all the rooms. Great location, but a soulless place. I wouldn't stay there again.

We had a few small issues that the Mont Royal Suites addressed quickly. The accommodations were comfortable. The only reason I gave 4 not 5 is because the noise outside was constant throughout the night. Unfortunately even voices from people walking outside carried indoors.

The apartment was situated in a fantastic area near shops and restaurants and bakeries and a short walk to the subway station. We really enjoyed exploring Montreal from this home base. The apartment itself was not quite as pictured. It was missing some of the cozier features like a rug in the livingroom. Some of the floorboards are separating so it was nice to have a thick pair of slippers. The linens and towels were fresh and clean but the cupboards had sticky fingerprints, the bathtub edges were mildewy and the floor was obviously cleaned without picking up any of the items and getting to the edges (a crusty rim on the floor where the toilet plunger and brush sat). On arrival, the dishwasher was full of clean dishes that I needed to put away. (not the worst thing but unexpected for this level of accommodation.) The sounds from the upstairs hotel room walking around all night long (??) kept us up at night as the movement of the floor above which was loud in itself caused something in our apartment to rattle loudly (the mirrored closet doors perhaps?) Overall we enjoyed Montreal but the cleanliness of this property was below standard

Mont Royal Suites was conveniently located near the Metro, restaurants and shopping. Check in was easy. I was a little disappointed when I opened the dishwasher after we arrived and found dirty dishes inside. It was easily remedied by pushing the start button, so not such a big deal. The beds were comfortable. I would stay there again next time we visit Montreal.

No interaction with living people at all, only via texting. The entry instructions were clear and it all worked but you dont get them until an hour before check in, the extra charge for early check in i thought was a bit pricey. The room was small but had a full kichen and a eat up counter that could also be use as a makeshift desk. The tv could only be wat hed from the bed but had a good selection of smart apps. Bathroom had a shower only but worked out ok. Now for the negatives, the thermostat in main room did not work, at one point we had to turn on the stove to get heat but generally it was comfortable. The bathroom thermostat worked but cycled the fan fan heater on and off about every15 seconds. Had mutiple texts back and forth with the help line but it did not get fixed. Only other issues was the bathroom tissue holder ready to fall off wall. A good location with convenient access to the Metro (which worked amazingly well) and multiple pubs and eating places. Two small supermarkets within a few blocks.

Very well located and very responsive hosts. The apartment was exactly as advertised. The hosts helped us with early check in. The online reservation portal "boarding pass", accessed via a strange link, was quite confusing, and required a lot of personal information which is no longer typically required by hotels (date of birth, copy of ID, damage deposit...), or at least not typically required in advance. If it weren't for this uncomfortable check in process we would have been entirely satisfied with this property.

My mother and I visited for a house hunting trip and stayed several days at this property! Check in instructions were easy to follow and we found our room in perfect condition -- clean, well decorated, and comfortable. I communicated with the host prior to the trip and found her extremely patient and polite, so I knew we were in good hands. The location could not be better -- surrounded by shops and restaurants, in the heart of the nightlife, and within easy walking distance of the metro! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
