Cheap room by the beach, if u dont care about room cause you are off enjoying life then this is the spot for you. I had to wipe down fridge with a towel, it had black mold spots on outside of it but the sliding door was also open when we go to room so possibly dirt came in that way. Perfect stay for beach access, close walk to gas station and or other places to eat/drink

I love the Topaz Motel because it’s super affordable and it’s beachfront with an amazing restaurant attached to it. Best peel-and-eat shrimp in town! Is it a resort? No. Is it a great place to stay when you’re in a bind and need a safe and beautiful to stay? absolutely, yes.

Keep your expectations low, but it’s oddly a great place to stay if you are there for the beach. The bedding is cheap, the furniture is old and the newest thing in there was the tv. But it’s directly across from the beach, it was quiet, and the food at the attached restaurant was phenomenal. It’s one of the most affordable stays in the area for a reason. If you want luxury, this place isn’t for you. The bathroom reminded me of a public pool shower stall with a bit more room, but that makes perfect sense if you are beach goer. Makes clean up easier too. Would definitely stay again, but wouldn’t recommend to just anybody. The restaurant and the beach are the attraction.

We got to stay in the main building which is on top of the Flagler seafood company. This gave an old mansion vibes. Our room was really big and had access to an ocean view balcony. The restaurant serves some of the best seafood around. I gave overall 5 stars experience.

Room was clean. Half the room and bathroom were updated. New tile. You can tell they are in process of updating the property. Our curtions had holes in them. Bed was decent. Front desk was really helpful with extra towels, pillows, blankets and whatever else we needed. Love the beach view and access.

We stayed in the main converted house. The room was very cool with antique furnishings, a very comfy bed, and a nice balcony with a nice beach view. The one thing that needs improvement is that the old hardwood floor needs to be stripped and refinished badly. The ancient finish has become sticky and quickly soils bare feet. However, this did not hamper our enjoyment.

The room was just okay. Our bathroom had no mirror and our carpet made the bottom of our feet dirty, so we wore our flip flops in the room. If the owners updated the fixtures and played on the kitschiness of the hotel, it would be super cute! We did love that the hotel was right across the street from the beach and in walking distance of events at the center of town. We liked the location of the hotel and works stay there again for a short trip. If I was staying longer than a couple of days, I'd find a more updated place with more amenities to stay.
