This was a very comfortable hotel, within sevonds of the beach and a very short walk to the pier and main eateries. Hermosa beach is gorgeous and v close to LAX.

There is a reason the Grandview has become our go-to on our beach getaway trips. This independently run hotel combines a fantastic location -- a minute from the sand, and one of the best beaches in Southern California, in the heart of Hermosa Beach and all it has to offer -- with great service and immaculate, well-equipped rooms. It's right around the corner from a half-dozen great restaurants, and a block from the Hermosa Pier. It's only a few blocks from the famous Strand, and Hermosa Cylcery (a block away) rents pedal as well as e-bikes that you can ride all the way to Venice, if you choose. Sea birds abound, and you can actually hear the waves from your room at night. The staff is friend and efficient. There is nothing we don't like about this hotel, including a very reasonable room rate. Great value all around, can't say enough good things
