Amazing location beside the Ganges, great restaurant, very helpful staff, particularly as there is no vehicle access to the hotel so luggage has to be portered in. Room near reception rather noisy and didn't have a fridge.

From the moment we walked through the doors, I was impressed by the warmth of your hospitality and the attention to detail that set Ganga Lahari apart. First and foremost, I want to commend your staff for their impeccable service. Every team member I encountered, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff, was professional, genuinely friendly, and eager to assist. Their dedication to ensuring a positive guest experience did not go unnoticed, making our stay more enjoyable. I had been a guest once in 2017, but this time, I brought my elderly parents, one of them handicapped, and had such a wonderful experience. The culinary experience at dinner and breakfast was also a highlight of our stay, especially dining at the Patio, which has the best view of the Ganga River. The dining options provided a diverse and delectable selection, and the presentation of each dish was a testament to the culinary expertise of your kitchen staff. The breakfast buffet, in particular, was a delightful way to start each day, and the evening chai time was such a nice touch after a long day of sightseeing. Fantastic view. Better than 3star, though pricey

We had the Maharaja Suite which was extremely spacious but it didn't have a window. Great views outside and from the roof. Hotel service was excellent as was the food. However, High Tea was not really that and the astrologer was absent. Should be upgraded to a 4star hotel, though our room price was the same as a 5star in Delhi.

A nice hotel near to the center, but the room was not quite, everything can be heard from the reception, I think the isolation in the room should have been better. The breakfast and dinner is nice and maybe there can be more food like cheese as in western breakfasts. Overall, it is a nice experience

Great Hotel

The staff at the Ganga could not be nicer. Raveena and Lucky provided service above and beyond expectations. They were kind, attentive and welcoming. They were helpful in arranging a few activities my wife and I were interested in doing. The food at the hotel was excellent. We will be back and we will stay here again.

Desperately in need of a clean

Pros: The lady at the front desk (I think her name was Navena) is amazing, she's incredibly helpful, pleasant and friendly & efficient. Location is convenient as its within a market, on the river and walking distance to the main prayer location on the river. CONS: - Bathrooms are not clean & everything is grubby. The hotel is in serious need of a full spring clean, some paint and a change of light fittings. - Buffet dinners are massively over priced for sub standard food (Rs800/- ex tax) - Towels are gross and spotted with marks all over - Rooms are not sound proof, so you can hear the neighbours in your room and in the corridor - Wifi barely worked & often needed some system to be restarted to get it working again
