日久失修的旅館

房間有日久失修的感覺, 地氈修邊已經破爛, 暖爐插蘇損毀, 洗澡企缸漏水等。 地點反而不錯, 走10分鐘可以到Takapuna市區, 離Devonport約10分鐘車程。 可以改善的地方是龍頭建議使用混合水掣。

Check in was unattended and locked and our key wasn’t in the drop box as expected. We had to ring three times before someone answered the phone at 9.30 at night. The metal stairs up to our room were rickety and slippery with a large gap at the bottom between the steps and the railing. The TV remote control didn’t work, there was an overflowing stinking ash tray on the landing and the property is neglected, broken tiles in the bathroom, dirty sink, and ripped hand written signs on windows and just generally run down and untidy.

The room smelt of cigarettes. Dirty dishes in the cupboard, stains on bedding, and couch also lift up part of couch was filthy. Someones old toothbrush was also in a bathroom draw. No plug in kitchen to do dishes. Iron also was old and leaked. Outlet fixtures some were barely hanging onto the wall. For the price each night was very over priced for the cleanliness and state of the room.

It could be cleaner,the room wasnt cleaned after the last people staying. We found rubbish under sink, no plug for kitchen sink, fridge/freezer was dirty. Sheets had a marks on them, no egg flipper, very little utensils for 3 people staying. It work for what we needed, just need to be cleaned or checked guest arrive.

DONT BOOK - AVOID IT:Serious health & safety concerns. RATING ZERO OUT OF 10 This is by far the worst place I have stayed in NZ. I am shocked this lodge is still operating. It is dirty, unsafe, misleadingly advertised, and completely mismanaged. Reception was closed on arrival. We had to call a number that went to a call centre, then waited a long time for a staff member to arrive. The receptionist struggled to understand English and had to call someone to translate. Basic communication was extremely difficult. Our room had no toilet paper. When we informed staff, he did not believe us and searched the room himself before finally providing some. The room was filthy and very dusty, with loose hanging furniture posing a safety risk. One bedroom light did not work. The linen was old, dirty, and worn. The duvet inner had no cover, cushions were frayed, and the kitchen was not cleaned—the coffee pot was left dirty on the bench. We booked for four people, but only three beds had linen. The fourth person slept on a broken couch after we were forced to request extra linen. The laundry we were shown had linen thrown on the floor. The pool looks extremely old and was closed. The advertised kids’ playground had only two broken swings. The photos online are completely misleading and do not reflect the actual condition.Other guests were also complaining, but we had no alternative accommodation. place is a health hazard. I would never recommend it to anyone. Avoid at all cost.diasappointed

I have only put one star due to the fact that you cannot put no stars. As a former motelier of 16 years, I would not recommend anybody booking at this particular motel. I had booked and paid for a 3 night stay for our 38th wedding anniversary, on arrival I was asked for Credit Card for security deposit, I informed that the room was paid for and I would not be paying any more money, They put through a manual payment for $102 without permission. When we got to the room, 1 One window couldn't open due to latch being broken. 2 One window couldn't close due to latch not being there. 3 Room was old, dated and dirty 4 Enough crockery for 4 people, only enough cutlery for 2 people. 5 4 Element stove in the room, 1x 6" saucepan in the whole kitchen. 6 Water pressure, NON EXISTENT {had to run around in shower to get wet} 7 Office never opened in 3 days. 8 On checkout had to call answering service to get someone to the office to process my refund, where I was offered a $100 refund, I refused and told them you took $102 from my account you put back $102, they tried to explain that the $2 was a bank charge and they only received $100 to which I replied the bank only charges for pay-wave, you put the charge through manually without permission, they tried twice to refund $100 and I refused twice, fortunately at that moment the police pulled a car over in the driveway, I stated oh good here is the police and got my $102 refunded within 30secs, the fastest anything happened at this place

Le motel est vieux, sale, bruyant, une fenêtre ne fermait pas à clé (poignée cassée) donc on se s'est PAS sentis en SECURITE. Nos voisins du bas à gauche avaient vue sur nous et fumaient du cannabis en nous regardant. La cuisine très mal équipée, même pas un saladier pour mettre notre repas, le savon dans la salle de bain était douteux. On avait réservé pour 3 nuits, nous sommes partis après 1 nuit. J'ai sonné à la réception pour les prévenir, ils étaient derrière la porte mais n'ont pas voulu m'ouvrir et ont fait semblant d'être absents alors que leur chien aboyait. Les propriétaires sont MAL ELEVES. Ils ont mis un mot sur la porte avec des instructions pour ne pas être dérangés. Le PRIX est TROP ELEVE pour ce que c'est.

When we arrived at the property, it was a tricky check-in. We arrived in the room which was uncleaned and nothing like the pictures. The staff were helpful in getting the room actually cleaned, but we had to leave and come back again. There were no beside lamps (as per picture) and the rooms/walls could do with a fresh paint job. The bathroom curtain is very tired and not attached to the wall properly and kept coming undone. We paid quite a bit of money for this room, it did not live up to the expectations unfortunalty.

Extremely disappointing stay and nothing like what was advertised. We booked and paid for 4 people, but the room was only set up for 3. One person was forced to sleep on the couch, which was not acceptable. When we raised this and asked for a change or solution, management refused to help in any way. The room was also dirty. We found a used band-aid left behind, which we had to clean up ourselves. That alone is unacceptable from a motel charging these rates. There were also serious issues with the windows. Two windows did not have latches, meaning they could not be properly closed from inside. We literally had to push them shut from the outside, which is unsafe and ridiculous. On top of that, the kitchen window had no window coverings at all, allowing people to see straight into the room where the couch and one of the beds were located. Zero privacy. We were also unexpectedly asked to pay a bond on top of the hire fee, which was not made clear upfront. To make matters worse, we still have not received the bond back. We contacted the motel asking for assistance and some form of compensation, as the accommodation was not what was advertised. They refused to refund anything or offer any help whatsoever. Overall, poor cleanliness, misleading advertising, safety and privacy issues, and terrible customer service. I would not recommend staying here and will not be returning.

Parking was easy staff was only one a cleaner who when I was checking in at the check in time and realized my room was not even cleaned and had my room changed and she was a fantastic person. The kitchen was a microwave and heating element but no fry pan or saucepan

This place is a health risk, super disgusting. We could not stay in this dirty, unkept, unmaintained, grotty place and asked for a refund, which was refused. We had to pay out again to stay somewhere else. I will be reporting this place to the Council who will hopefully close it down. DO NOT STAY THERE
