Beyond welcoming

Lovely rooms with a recently made over bathroom. Very comfortable mattress and bedding. Highlight has to be food and service.

This is a lovely place to stay run by a great team The wood fired pizzas were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast menu which was much better than anticipated for the price. The surrounding area is very beautiful too.

Just off the South Downs Way

Great place to stay and convenient for the South Downs Way, I had a very smat bedroom with bath and shower on suite. The food was very good though a bit of a limited menu but enough for most people I would think.

Everything an English inn should be

Excellent traditional English inn with lots of charm and character. The comfortable, warm room on a freezing January night was most welcome, as were the open log fires in the bar/restaurant. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating and the food was to a very good standard. The Timothy Taylor’s Landlord Bitter was an unexpected bonus !

Lovely

Really nice country pub style stay in the heart of the country side. Really nice accommodation (had a few minor wear and tear issues) and good breakfast every day. Would happily stay again. Do be aware pub can get busy making car parking a minor issue if you arrive late in the evening but saying that we never failed to find somewhere to park.

Fantastic service, I think the chaps name was Liam and he was terrific. Really seems to care and very attentive without be false or well annoying. Great rooms perfect location.
