Did not live up to pictures and was an odd hotel. While lobby was nice and specific to the hotel, the building itself seemed to be half hotel, half low income housing. Seems like the hotel part may have been housing that was taken over, actually. The amenities listed, like pool and recreation area, appeared to be community amenities, not strictly hotel amenities. There seemed to be many residents there. Aside from 2 other hotels, in the same area there was other poorly maintained public housing (think broken windows, trash and broken furniture left outside, overgrown landscaping, etc) and some abandoned buildings as well. Not necessarily unsafe, but I didn't feel comfortable walking around and I feel bad for the families who live there.
At the hotel: Staff were friendly. Room was clean in general, but the whole suite needed new paint badly. Every single wall was extremely scuffed up and down. I couldn't fathom what/how much they were moving around and hitting the walls that would mar them that badly, and lent to a dingy feel. Almost like they never painted after moving people out. The TV was small and placed too low to the ground. The couch fit 2 people max and was very old looking/not comfortable. Furniture was ok. No outlets near the bed. The buffet at the restaurant was very limited and unappetizing looking, especially for 19€/person. We ate at the Crown Plaza which was table service and more affordable.
In the future I'd pay more to stay somewhere nicer.
