Beautiful place , staff were lovely all friendly and helpful , we started in the Carlton and moved to the Victoria for the last night as the Carlton was closing for the season and we wanted to stop an extra night both hotels are lovely and the corridors joining them all together just amazes me that you can go from hotel to hotel to hotel via these corridors and don’t need to go outside , it’s just fantastic . I will definitely be back for a holiday again soon with this company. I’m very impressed.

Was disappointed to find parking wasn't included because we'd booked through a 3rd party. Very noisy at night - loud music until gone 11pm. Breakfast was booked but they were Thrown by us turning up and took a while for them to set us a table etc. beds also very uncomfortable

Love TLH- always book when I stay in TQY as you can’t beat the facilities and location and value. The staff are always great- home from home. However- the rooms (mainly in the summer) are way too hot. Fans are provided but the room I last stayed in at least was 39 degrees all night and meant I could sleep at all- which is the whole point of a hotel room. It’s just the build of the place I’m sure but without air conditioning or better air flow in the property it’s impossible to stay more than a couple of nights without sleep deprivation

We checked into the hotel expecting a pleasant stay, but it turned out to be a very frustrating experience. The lift was out of service, and our room was up on the third floor. Because my wife has knee issues, climbing stairs is very difficult. We asked reception if we could swap to a ground or first-floor room, but the staff were surprisingly rude and dismissed our request. This made moving around the hotel and exploring nearby attractions extremely hard for us. Very poor service regarding basic accessibility and guest care.

It was a great hotel and great location to be in a 3 star hotel with indoors and outdoor pool. No booking needed. You just used it when it suited you! The Victoria restaurant was good as well! Good food, the food was very British. For dinner you got a selection of starters, mains and desserts. I always found something I liked! What could be improved is a bit of modernising! We lived in a family room in the TLH Victoria part of the hotel and the carpets in the hallway most have been there since the war...! And better ventilation needed! Both in hallways and the rooms! The hallways smelt of old carpet and still air! The rooms smelt nice but were very hot. It was a fan in the room that helped but it was hard to sleep on the hotter days.

Got my room and a great rate - didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment on that. Parking was an additional £10 for 24hrs so parked on street but parking very limited in the area. Lovely room was supposed to have a single but they gave me a double and it was a king size bed. Kettle tea and coffee etc in room and a biscuit. Shower was perfectly fine (over bath) hot evening so opened window. Room very clean. Check in straight forward.

All in all it is what you would expect from a three star hotel, nothing really awful and nothig really great. Most of the recption staff were friendly and helpful but unfortunately not all of them as one receptionist in particular made feel like a naughty school girl if I ever needed to ask her anything due to her curt and abrupt responses. The same is also true of the restaurant staff. While most of them were helpful and friendly some of the chefs who served the evening meals (which incidentally were nowhere near worth the £20 asked for it) would quite evidently have preferd to have been anyhere else than serving food to holidaymakers. I enjoyed the stay but it is quite unlikley I would pay a return visit to this particular hotel.
