Charming, locally owned property, across the street from the beach. We stayed in the villa; 2 adjoining bedrooms (and their own bathrooms), an eat-in kitchen and small sitting area. The accommodations were very clean and the beds, comfortable. There were some hiccups- they'd forgotten to turn on the water supply (quickly rectified), and one of the bathtubs leaked during showers. Several lightbulbs were burnt out, there were no batteries in the safe, and only enough dishes for two. The curtains fit tightly to the rods, so it wasn't easy to open them to let in light/air. One of the windows was missing a screen, and since we opted not to use the air conditioner, it got a little stuffy at times. But we spent little time in the rooms, opting to sit on the balcony when we were not on the beach. The included breakfast was a choice of Jamaican or American. Portions were generous, and included an appetizer of fresh fruit and cake. We had dinner at the restaurant once, and it was hearty and delicious (but be sure to order in advance). The staff was pleasant and helpful, from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the bartender. Our arranged transportation was friendly and on-time. The friendly security guard helped us cross the road, several times, making it far less daunting! Once across the road, it's a short walk to the beach, the star of the show! Overall, the property could use a little refresh, but it was more than suitable for our family of four. We would gladly return.

Had a great stay at the Rayon. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Beach access was directly across the street. Full breakfast included offers both Jamaican and American style options. Dinner options were tasty and reasonably priced, though sometimes limited. The staff was phenomenal. Special thanks to Trish (dining room)! Also giving a shout out to Latoya (front desk) and Cosmo (security)! Definitely recommend this charming hotel for a quiet and relaxing stay.

We just returned from a 10 night stay at the Rayon . Wow ! We were so impressed with this charming property . The staff are amazing .. all the way from management to housekeeping to security . The complimentary FULL daily breakfast was fabulous and the girls in the restaurant are top notch . Shout out to Miss. Pansy for operating such a wonderful property . We are definitely returning . We have stayed at many properties in Jamaica including some 5 star all inclusives . This by far was one of our most memorable holidays . Well done Rayon ! Keep up the fantastic job !!

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the Rayon Hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great and close to the beach, and the security guards kept us feeling very safe. The rooms were very outdated, but clean, and since we did not spend much time indoors it was just fine for us. We did not end up using the pool but the pool area was very beautiful. The only reason why I’m not giving it a five star review was the food: american brealfast was good, but we ordered dinner there on the first night, which took 1.5 hours to arrive and did not taste good. The food service was often quite slow at breakfast. Not a majpr issue, but factor it in when planning your meals! That said, it’s a great good value option and I would stay there again.

I regret not booking my entire stay here. The staff were nice and attentive. I stayed in 112 which is an apartment. Nice setup, clean, and cozy. The breakfast was delicious and free. I tried to book the apartment again for March but it sold out. My advice to anyone considering Rayon…book it now!

I had a comfortable 8 night stay in an apt with kitchen at this lovely hotel. It is centrally located with access to the beach across the street. I liked that the apt had a safe, and I enjoyed lounging on the back porch. The staff was very personable and the free breakfast was fantastic. I also liked the nice goodbye gift. Will return soon.
