Juneau Hotel was a lovely place to stay. A great location within walking distance to everything, but far enough away from where the cruise ships dock to avoid the crowds and all their noise. A quiet, peaceful spot! Service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. The hotel was humble, not fancy, but our room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we need. My only issues were very minor ones. To be clear, despite these issues I would happily stay at Juneau Hotel again! Our room was weirdly warm, even though the thermostat was off. We had to spend a lot of time with the windows open. The heaters never felt warm so I don't know where the heat was coming from. The other issue was that the blinds weren't very effective, and since we stayed in June the sun was out 24/7. Both my wife and I still managed to sleep soundly, and I had sleep masks at the ready, but we didn't need them. No matter where I am staying, if I'm going to Alaska in the summer, I'm bringing a sleep mask, so I'd advise other travelers to do the same!

GREAT KITCHEN

OUR STAY WAS WONDERFUL. GREAT LOCATION. QUIET, YET ABOUT A MILE TO TRAM STATION. THE KITCHEN WAS WELL OUTFITTED. MADE IT EASY FOR US TO COOK BREAKFASTS AS WELL AS DINNERS IF WE CHOSE. CLOSE TO HUMPBACK STATUE AND NOT FAR TO GROCERY STORE. MADE IT A VERY COMFORTABLE STAY.

Great place to unwind following an Alaskan cruise

Our stay at the Juneau Hotel was a perfect way to end our holiday following a 7-day cruise to Alaska. Every room is a suite with its own washer/dryer so it was nice to pack clean clothes for our trip home. The hotel is walking distance to the cruise terminal and offers a free shuttle to the airport. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need to cook your own dinners and breakfast.

Perfect Perch in Juneau

This is property is a gem! On a solo trip, I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel in Juneau but I got so much more. Donna and the rest of the staff were friendly and attentive. My suite had anything and everything a traveler needs. Coffeemaker + coffee, work desk, comfy couch, big bathroom, perfect fans for hot flashes, great boiler heat for when the hot flashes are over, dishwasher, full-size fridge, washer and dryer. My room had a view of the mountains pkus hustle and bustle of nearby downtown. Cozy for nights in, accessible to tourist areas when feeling adventurous. Shuttle to the airport was icing on the cake. Definitely recommend!!

A hidden gem for those who don’t need fancy

This was a score to find. It’s nothing fancy but has everything you need. Reasonable price, airport shuttle service, prime location, quiet, warm, good bed, good shower pressure. I think it could’ve had more attention to cleanliness of sheets(saw what looked like hairs) and toilet seat seemed to have dried pee drops on it. Old coffee bag was in coffee maker. Still, for everything else it provided I’d recommend it to anyone going and I’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

Not the best

The front desk was very welcoming, but the rooms were not set up for comfort. It was New Year’s Eve and well below freezing and they didn’t have a single extra blanket in the room. The beds had a sheet a thin quilt. I froze all night and the in room coffee was terrible even for hotel coffee.

The thermostat in our room was broken so you couldn’t turn down the heat. We had to open windows is what the night auditor said when we inquired about changing rooms. Windows we’re open all night and the noise level was high because it’s next to a bridge with a large incline so cars were very noisy.
