I am writing to provide feedback regarding our recent one-night stay during a college visit. We arrived late in San Diego and unfortunately encountered several issues with our room. Upon entering, we immediately noticed a very strong musty, moldy odor. While the room appeared clean, the bathroom was not stocked with shampoo or conditioner. The situation worsened when we turned on the air conditioning; the mold smell intensified significantly, and the unit itself appeared as though it had not been cleaned for a long time. Within an hour of being in the room, I experienced an allergic reaction resulting in an itchy throat and sneezing. Due to these conditions, I would not choose to stay at this property again without first inspecting the room to ensure it is in better condition.

Not a bad room for a quick night stay. But I wouldn’t want to stay more than one night. It is conveniently located off highway 8 and light rail, which also means there’s a bit of noise, but not the worst I’ve ever heard. The the motel is in fairly decent shape, but nothing to ride home about. And there are next to no amenities. By that I mean, refrigerator or coffee maker in the rooms. The bed is somewhat comfortable. The pillows are horrible.

I have stayed here previously and enjoyed the one front desk agent who has a little girl, but everyone else is some of the worst people I have come across in my life. A young, incompetent girl was hired who cannot speak correctly or listen and feels like the only ploy she has for retort is to be rude to people when the property has an issue. DO NOT STAY HERE; you will regret it! There is another Motel 6 down the street in La Mesa that is cleaner, nicer, and all around run by better staff. Plus there are better places across the freeway and really better priced than this place.
