What can I say? We walked out after 1 night despite paying for 2. We took our business to another pub which appreciated us & our spend. Terrible customer service/relations, the "manageress" either needs to re-assess how she treats customers or get out of hospitality. In addition to the terrible customer service the property is not as it appears. You do not stay in a country pub, rather pre-fabricated chalets in the grounds behind the pub, these are sparsely furnished with little storage (if you are maxing their capacity) & noisy (main road runs past the pub and once the HGV's start moving you hear them A LOT) The paths down to the beer garden and on to the chalets are overgrown on each side & in a bad state of repair with very loose paving slabs which, if stood on at the edge will tip over - I lost a pint trying to get down to the beer garden. The beer garden has what looks to be rabbit run in it, this is empty & overgrown it looks a state. The food offerings - with exception of the continental breakfast were poor, my daughters pie was gravy flavoured water with a couple of lumps of meat & my wifes had to go back as they'd omitted the chicken from her chicken & mushroom oatcake. There are FAR better hostelries within a couple of miles of this place (we found a REALLY good 1) that are much friendlier, cleaner, have cheaper food & are still within 20 minutes of Alton Towers. There was no "1 incident" there's more negatives & far more to this story - but I've ran out of words,
