It was a good place to stay for my first time in Vancouver for work. The only thing that was a little hard to navigate was that it was difficult to find a spot to charge electronics near the bed. I had to unplug the lamps which were plugged in in a notoriously hard to access spot by the mattress.

The staff made it worth it.

Not the hotel we were expecting from the pictures on the website but the beds were comfortable, the price was reasonable & the staff was fantastic. There is no elevator so be prepared to carry all your luggage up the stairs. Excellent breakfast less than a block away at Yolks.

When the receptionist unlocked the door at 4.30 pm to give access, it should have been a clue! Signs on the wall advising not to open the door for anyone, People partaking of substance abuse in the street outside the window, really noisy! I gave it a go for 5 mins and then booked a new hotel. The staff is friendly enough, but they tried to refund only the deposit and not the room payment (the manager is on holiday, and they alone can refund anything). After 30 minutes, they agreed to this action. Do not book the place!

Great stay.

This is a older hotel that is in great shape and up to date. I was amazed in it's beauty. The bed and pillows are as comfortable as the one at home. I was confused on how to get into the hotel since the front door was locked, but we figured it out, we found the door bell.

Kindness changes lives.

i showed up with swollen, red eyes. i cried like a baby at the front desk after a very, very bad night. my credit card didn't have enough on it to pay for the deposit, which caused me to cry like a baby because i just didnt know what to do. the concierge got me a cold glass of water and said "please dont worry- we are going to figure it out." he made an exception and got me a room with a debit deposit of double the amount. i do NOT RECOMMEND making their lives harder by not having a credit card, but what was a very scary and upsetting time was made better by a mans kindness and good heart. thank you.

Read the reviews before staying here

There is no elevator — we had to carry our bags up and down a very steep stairway. The only source of heat in the room appeared to be a space heater. The pictures on the website look nothing like the property. Even though the staff was very nice, it doesn’t change the fact that this property is in a bad neighborhood and way overpriced for what is offered.
