We only stayed one night but it would have been great if we stayed longer. Our room was facing the beach with a nice balcony in the room had a lot of amenities that would make a longer stay nice, such as a refrigerator, microwave, etc. I would definitely stay there again.

Check in was easy. The hotel is adjoined to the Hamilton Inn and the daily breakfast was a short walk next door to the Hamilton Inn. Large dining area and good selection for breakfast. Only served 7am-9am. Direct access to the beach was nice to go relax and look for rocks. The hotel is within walking distance to Sheplers, Mackinaw Crossings, and many restaurants/activities. Hotel was clean, could use some new screens and sliders on the balcony.

This was a fun location on a beach in Mackinaw City. We had a balcony room with a beautiful view. An added surprise was fireworks over the Lake - and it wasn't even the Fourth of July. It's walkable to everything in town.

The place has a great price value ratio, the staff at the reception could be friendlier but the not-too-welcoming communication style was similar across Mackinaw City so it might not be the hotel’s fault. The place has excellent location, right at the port to Mackinac Island, free parking and buffet breakfast. Overall, I recommend it.

The property looks very clean on the outside in pictures but the exterior walls have not been cleaned in a very long time. The lobby to check in was very clean. The room was very clean as well. Very well stocked with towels, washcloths, and hand towels. It was very aggravating to get the luggage to the room with the cart as you have to go to the other end of the building for the elevator and go through 2 hallways and doors and maneuver thru very narrow hallways. There was no lock on the balcony door.

Bugs every where, pile of bugs in bathroom, bed and outside. Staff doesn’t want to clean them up or change the room. We checked out 1 day prior to original booking because we can’t even sleep.

The place looked ok from the street, but if I had seen the condition of everything else I never would have checked in. It’s a dump. The rusty coffee pot was disgusting. The bathroom was gross. Grimy doors. The walk through to the beach was stinky and disgusting… full of sand. Smelled like Bo. The rinse off station was located in front of the door and had no drainage so the water was pooled and tracked inside and not at all kept up. The chairs on the balcony were full of bugs and webs. Two thumbs down on this one. Never again.
