The host was a super nice person and cared about his guests. He went out of his way for us to have a great cabin tor our stay. I would highly recommend Ocean Inn. The view from our cabin was stupendous, it was overlooking the bay. Even with all the steps it was manageable, and life on them was a surprise. (That was a bonus.) Thank you, Robert.

Care, transportation assistance and warm friendliness of the staff and especially the owner Robert was superb. The property had the most incredible view of English Harbour and the staff and Robert, the owner, were lovely, so accommodating and would go out of their way to do anything for you. We had one of the separate chalets with our own balcony which was perfect. The buffet style breakfast was perfect and extra was put on on Christmas Day and New Years Day by Selwin who was an absolute gentleman. If you go, you need to sit down with him and listen to his amazing stories. He's done a lot and met some incredible people in his life.

A week in Antigua

If you're looking for a small non resort style hotel within walking distance of local restaurants and historical sites this is ideal. We had a lovely relaxing time sitting on the decking by the pool, overlooking English Harbour. Robert, the owner, was very helpful and we enjoyed our trips out with Edgar, the hotel's friendly taxi driver.

Beautiful serene location overlooking English Harbor. Coming from a big city, I cherished waking up to birds chirping and not sirens, loud neighbors or psychos walking in the neighborhood!

Unbeatable views of English Harbour and Nelson’s dockyard in a small super friendly setting. 5 mins walk (down hill) to restaurants and supermarket. Less than 10 mins to Nelson’s Dockyard and approx 15- 20 mins to pigeon point beach. The rooms- beds comfy, great power shower in bathroom, good air con. We had a fridge in our room but no kettle but we (and other guests) had 24 hour access to free cold and hot water from the breakfast area for tea/coffee. The pool was great and cleaned every day. There were no sun umbrellas on the pool deck when we went but you could sit in the breakfast area above the pool if you wanted shade. The free breakfast was more substantial than I was expecting help yourself to fruit, yoghurt, pastries, bread/toast, cold meat/cheese, cooked things available for a small charge. There is a well stocked honesty bar available 24/7. Some of the decking areas are in need of an upgrade but this did not affect our stay. This is not a 5 star hotel but what it offers in views and friendliness are unbeatable. We are so glad we chose Ocean Inn and would definitely stay again.

I Stayed here for a week during the Easter vacation with my daughter. The view was everything!!! An exotic blend of fruit trees and ocean views. Love me some nature therapy! As I intended to do some relaxing the location was just perfect for me but maybe my daughter would have preferred more excitement/activities offered for kids her age other than just the pool (She was 8 years old at the time). Breakfast each morning was excellent and my daughter looked forward to the donuts the most. Robert was quite welcoming and accommodating. My only complaints would be that the WiFi was dropping a lot and the cleaners were not consistent with cleaning our room! Also one day there was no hot water in the shower (so this was quite traumatising for my drama princess, haha!)

Grounds and view from deck very nice. Our room was the PITS!!! Double bed was two singles pushed together w/ridge in middle. TV did not work had to share bath and the bathroom not up to any standards. Closet inadequate, lamp didn't work. Would have left but did not know area. Was going to complain to manager next day but not on property. Am not one to usually complain but beware of this place. Some of the other accommodations on the property may have been OK but certainly not ours.

Fantastisk utsikt, trevlig liten, varm pool, trevligt med självservering och ”uppskrivning” i baren, mycket trevlig värd och gott om parkeringsplatser. På minussidan: frukosten är av det enklaste slaget och man behöver ha en insektsspray med sig då vi hittade flera stora kackerlackor. Lätt löst om man spreyar hela rummet rejält när man kommer och går ut en sväng så är alla döda sen. Vi hittade en levande i badrummet när vi kom och tre döds efter att vi hade sprayat. Det drog ner upplevelsen en smula men stället är jättefint annars, värt 2-3 stjärnor. Läget är bra också med några få minuters körning till öns bästa utsiktsplats, Shirley hights och nära till sting-ray-turerna. En hel del restauranger finns på gångavständ, nere i byn, den i Marinan rekommenderas för god service, mat och goda drinkar, drivs av en trevlig kanadensiska.

You could never tire of the glorious view from this place. The staff are smiley, lovely and welcoming, everything is very relaxed. Perfect breakfast served every day which is a blessing and nice touches like a water dispenser available. It's in a fantastically handy location, you can walk to English Harbour & the dockyard. Don't come expecting 'perfection' as it does need some renovations, but it has oodles of Caribbean charm, a nice pool to cool off in and a bar for sundowners. We'd definitely stay again.
