Freshen up the Place

The place was smelly. Very much like the carpet needed to be clean. It looked not old, but could do with a ‘refresh’. Used linen sat in the lobby by the front desk my entire stay. The ‘breakfast’ was a joke. Very limited; and, the bagels were to old to be served. The person I came with, who had a separate, was concerned about getting into the bathtub….due to its ‘unclean’ appearance.

Decent, clean, good location and price.

Location is great. Parking easy and free. Staff pleasant. Had to ask at desk how to access wifi as room instructions were inaccurate and phone did not call to front desk. Room in main tower was nice and spacious although bathroom was some disrepair (toilet not affixed to floor and wobbled). Could use some updates. However for the price I thought it was a good option.

Horrible experience

The rooms were dirty. Looked like mold on the floor and the bathroom floors were filthy. We couldn't get the room temp to regulate. Had some roaches crawl on the floor. Overall it felt super gross. If i would have been able to change hotels i would have. I would love a refund on this room

Clean but lots of problems

On the positives front, there are some key things: room and bathroom were pretty much spotless (tower room), bed was comfortable, the room was very quiet despite a sold out property, and the location is pretty much in walking distance (1 mile basically to downtown) But there were lots of problems: Service is very lackluster to bad. Waited for a while for someone to arrive to check us in. We had no bath towels in the room when we got there, went down and asked for some at the front desk and the guy said he would get us some, asked for 4 but told the property was sold out so only could give me 2 (what if my room had more than 2 people?). Breakfast was a joke really. Would rather they just do 3-4 things well than what’s going on there. But instead it’s bagels but no cream cheese, horrible gas station premade burritos, dry microwaved eggs in an area that was messy. Coffee was fine on the breakfast floor but no coffee ever in the main lobby area despite a coffee area all set up. Back in the room had a few things break including the towel hook and then the shower knob was so loose the dripping from the shower would turn the temperature to scalding on its own. Never had maid service for a 2 night stay. Front desk guys kept their heads down when we would come and go I guess to avoid being asked to do something. Out of order vending machines in the lobby and lower floor and didn’t feel great that my car was safe in the parking lot. At over $200/nt we just expect some basics.

Questionable service

My stay was decent. On Monday Morning a gentlemen walked into my room without knocking or annuncing himself with a key. I was in the restroom getting dressed. This was extremely disturbing. The desk clerk was not very concerned when I addressed it. During check out I requested a receipt for my stay and the clerk told me that hotels.com would be emailing it to me and I have still not received a receipt. When I checked in the clerk told me that my tax exemption was on my account and that it would be reflected on my receipt when I checked out. Again my stay was decent but the customer service was poor.

It was fine. Nothing special. Pretty standard motel if you stay in the outside rooms. Pool doesn’t work/is closed. Weight room is messy and unkept. Breakfast was meh. At least could make a waffle. It’s not worth the price. Probably more like a $60-70 motel but certainly no major flaws or grossness or anything like that.

Bring disinfectant spray or wipes

At check in, no one was at desk. Had to wait under 5 minutes. No info given on breakfast or parking, although there is a laminated info sheet in the room. After 1st night of 2 night stay, key didn’t work. Had to waste 15 minutes walking to office and asking them to fix the keys. Window and shower curtains had oil or grease stains. Bed was comfy. Shower worked. Sink drain was clogged and would fill sink after one hand wash. See picture…Light switch works and gave us all a good laugh, but this is the quality workmanship you’ll find in this Best Western MOTEL.

There are two sections of this note, a 5-7 story tower and a two story motel like rooms separated from the tower, where you park in from them. Without prior info we were taken to the Motel section which had issues with heater, etc. Breakfast was lower grade place.
